Wont lie the food and atmosphere are amazing! But if youre looking for a place to work that values your basic needs as a person i wouldnt recommend working here. per their own handbook it is policy to let them know 2 hours prior to your shift if you wont be able to make it in. I was on call and let them know over 5 hours ahead of time i wouldnt be able to come in due to needing an unexpected emergency surgery. After already telling my manager i was in the hospital due to unbearable pain that led me to get no sleep she STILL asked me to come in and said i "could just run food and bus tables so i dont have to speak and be in pain" as if i was supposed to leave and tell the medical professionals that its fine and i dont need the surgery i just wont talk?? they put out the new schedule that same day and i wasn't on it at all. only to find that i was being fired. keep in mind i had no write ups or disciplinary actions brought to me at this point. i was told that i "wasn't being fired for this incident"( referring to my surgery ). Instead i was told i was being fired because" i was still on their probationary period and could be let go at any time". which is hard to understand due to the fact that again per THEIR OWN handbook, it was a 30 day probationary period that had already ended. which strikes me as odd due to the fact they verbally told me the probation period was a lot longer than what their handbook says, especially since this is a new handbook and improved from this year. Im not sure if it was a lack of care for my health, or if they just think im an idiot that doesnt know how long 30 days is... but i was very saddened because before it was grossly brought to my attention of their complete lack of care for their employees physical well-being i actually really liked, valued and...

I love downtown chandler cafe and bakery. I tell all of my friends to check it out if they’re ever in the area. I live out in AJ so it’s not often I make it out to chandler before you close, but when I do I make a point to go. Unfortunately I was left disappointed this time. I spent my last $20 till next payday on a meal. I was comfortable doing so because I ordered the same thing I always get and thoroughly love. The biscuits and gravy plate. Unfortunately nothing on this plate was up to its usual standards. The biscuit was hard. The gravy was in a dish on the side and it was extremely watery, like soup broth consistency with about an inch of oil sitting on top. I had to continuously stir it just to dunk a piece of the biscuit in it and not get straight up oil. I still had hope for my eggs and potatoes. My eggs were over medium, faced down with the whites up. I personally hate egg whites so I get over medium to dip things Into the yolks. Unfortunately both my yolks were missing somehow? Unsure if they popped in the pan and they said screw it, or how this even happened but there was no yolk. I know I love the home fries so I was excited for those perfectly seasoned crispy potatoes, unfortunately they weren’t crispy, or even cooked all the way through with a crunchy center. As I said I love downtown chandler cafe and bakery so I was pretty disappointed after planning on coming in today all week long. Spending my last bit of money when I honestly could’ve gotten better quality food at a fraction of the cost...
