Wish I can give this place no stars. Had the worst experience this past weekend Friday 1/20/2023. This place has really gone down hill from appearance to customer service. I was in with some friends arrived around 11pm opened a tab and ordered some beers the bartender took my debit card and placed it somewhere. I went back for a 2nd round and spoke to another bartender and gave her my last name as requested. As the night ended they made an announcement for last call I then went to the bar to close my tab. When I got there the second bartender I spoke to stated she could not find my debit card. I told her I gave it to the girl that I first spoke with when I opened the tab, she went to go ask her if she knew. I'm guessing she didn't know what happened as they looked at each other for a brief second and continued to move around the bar without advising me what I should do or continue to look for the card. My wife came up to the the bar at that point and asked the bartender where my card was the bartender got defensive for some reason and told her she needed to calm down or we needed to leave. There was loud music playing so of course we needed to use our "loud voices" but for some reason this bartender was offended and told us we needed to leave or else the police were going to be called. We advised her to go ahead and call the police as they still hadn't explained what happened to my debit card. Security began to push me and our group out of the building with no reasoning only that this staff member demanded we leave. Long story short (and I'm shortening this alot) cops arrived we explained everything to them. We reached out to the manager of the bar his name was Austin he called us the next day and said he would look into this for us and call us back with an update. He apologized for his staff only after we asked him to. He updated us and told us his staff gave my card to somebody else. Luckily, my bank advised me there was some unusual activity with it, they tried to use my card multiple times at their bar with one charge amounting $500. I had to cancel my card and I'm currently waiting for a replacement and had no access to my funds for a weekend both me and my wife were on vacation for. Austin, took his employees side of the story and defended their actions instead of being apologetic. Instead of making things right by punishing his rude staff he stated we were being disrespectful and their reaction was justified. We understand bartenders have to deal with intoxicated customers daily but every situation should be evaluated and dealt with differently and we were NOT THOSE CUSTOMERS!!! If you want to see stretch marked, tattooed, butter faces with lingerie and like to slide around on the wet floors in a disgusting bathroom this place might be for you! Never, ever coming back to this place Bouron Jacks,...
Read moreThe main reason i won’t be back and why they get 3 stars is at the end of the review.
I chose this place for my birthday dinner based off there raving reviews for food which let me tell you what. Those reviews are on par more or less. I got the philly which was the best philly I’ve had in a very long time. The family they loved there food as well stating the chicken and the sauce was so delious and different they would come back again. We did have some things tho that would have made the experience a little better all things that can be changed. We ordered tater tot appetizer which didn’t come as an appetizer it came with the dinner which was pointless. We did have a few bites and left it tho. The tater tots were extremely bland and the meat was supposed to be some sort of brisket but tasted like bland pot roast at best. It was awful. That was the only thing out of 4 meals we would never order again. The server was friendly and attentive. We did ask for the music down a little as we were right by the door and it was blasting. They didn’t have to but did which was nice. Mind you this is on a weekday midday and there was only 2 other people in the restaurant.
Now for the birthday. Im allergic to alcohol (dumb i know) again chose this place based off food recommendations not that it was a bar. Of course i was excited for the dessert menu but sadly the only thing they offer for birthdays is a cookie dough shot which isn’t something i can obviously have. I asked if they would make an exception due to my allergies and they said no. That made my visit alone kinda 🤷♀️. I was excited coming in loved the Philly but left feeling bummed. My family took me to a desert place in town though where they were more then willing to accommodate allergies. I honestly don’t understand if the cookie dough shot is $6 and the fried oreos are $9.50 is the $3.50 difference really worth taking away from someone’s birthday vs making it a great experience from start to finish for them. (Let me add our bill was over 100 easily) so not just take away from the experience but potentially a return customer. That $3.50 difference they put on my day is why i would not return tho sadly even tho the rest of our visit was good and food was good all around, putting that low of a price on someone’s day just had me leaving...
Read moreFood was ok but service was very slow. Server only had a few tables but it seemed to take forever to get a drink or for her to check to see if we needed more drinks.
Update: We have tried Bourbon Jack's a few more times since last review. Each experience getting worse and worse. The last time will be just that, the last time.
Early Saturday afternoon we walked in and we were the only ones there. In the back 4 employees looked up at us and seemed annoyed they had to work. After a few minutes of us sitting all awkward like, the waitress came over asking us for our drink order. I ordered a beer and my girlfriend ordered a Mimosa. Mimosa came 95% OJ, she asked if we she could get some extra champagne and we will cover the double if needed to, she went to the bartender who looked annoyed. Brought a new one but still looked like pure OJ. Food order time. Waitress came back twice asking what type of eggs I wanted at this point I just switched to an easy order.
The entire time who I think was the manager was more concerned with flirting with the bartender vs doing work.
Food came out and it was good (as always, cooks are solid) . Multiple times I had to waive the waitress over to get another drink as she never checked on us. Finally we were ready to go but after sitting for a good 10 minutes waiting for the check I went to the bar to get it. Unfortunately, the manager was too focused on flirting vs doing his job. Someone came up after a long awkward minute asking what I needed. I paid, we left, and noticed San Tan Brewery was packed vs the empty bourbon Jack's. Well, obviously they know how to run a business and focus on work.
Best of luck making a profit for brunch with the service we have had the last 5 times. Clearly it wasn't a fluke and most of their customers come from spill over of the...
