Mayflower Chinese Cuisine — Restaurant in Chandler

VERY TASTY!!! The boyfriend and I went for lunch on a Monday. We were seated quickly and drinks brought out. Our waitress, I didn't catch her name, was very attentive as well as her coworkers. Right off the bat the place felt warm-hot after just getting out of an Arizona heated car and the place was silent. No music, just awkward silence and muted chit chat. I casually mentioned this to the boyfriend while waiting and then low and behold they put music on and a bit later I could feel the a/c blowing cold. So much more of a comfortable atmosphere with both those things in check. The place was clean, pretty & modern. Food came out in a timely manner. *Hot & Sour soup was delish! Which for me means I will DEF go back. *Gen Tso Chicken was fresh, hot, crispy & tangy! Not spicy at all. Added heat. *Mongolian Beef was tender and had lots of carmelized onions. Marked as "spicy" but was very tame. We added heat to it. *Fried rice was just yummy comfort food. Rice doneness was on point. *Crab Rangoon was also very good to taste but I'd personally prefer more filling. I'm a glutton for cream cheese... *Spring Roll was hot and crispy. Food was good but staff was not welcoming and it ruined our experience.

At 8:15pm, my wife and I walked in and we sat down at a table. After a few minutes of waiting, one of the staff had come out of the kitchen and asked us to come to the register and order. We were so confused, but we went up and i asked if it was okay to sit down and eat, the staff member opened the kitchen door and spoke in a different language, I assume asking if it was okay. She got the okay, and told us it's okay. We sat back down with our menus and waiting to be waited on. After about 5 minutes, we knew what we wanted and waited. Staff member came out of the kitchen and waved at us to come back to the counter to tell her what we wanted to eat. We sat back down again and waited. We couldn't really relax and enjoy ourselves because we were not feeling welcomed and like we were irritating the staff because they closed at 9pm and they wanted to leave early. We got our food in to-go groceries bags and plastic containers and I was getting upset because it was about 8:25pm and we were being pushed out the door. This by far is my favorite favorite Chinese restaurant in the valley I have yet to find another Chinese restaurant that is on their level I consider them to be somewhat of an Asian fusion restaurant because they do incorporate different Asian cuisine‘s in their food the service is very good they make you feel welcoming they talk to you they speak English the prices are affordable they have really good lunch specials the plating of the food is very clean the portions I feel like our decent they’re not super small not super big but I feel like they’re appropriate you can always add additional money to get more meat if you’d like or extra vegetables there’s half of the people that get orders to go in third-party food orders that are picked up and then you have another portion of people that actually stay in time they make sure that it’s very Covid friendly and offer different complementary items I won’t say you got to go and find out for yourself and they have this dish that is basically rice noodles with curry seasoning and chicken and shrimp in barbecue pork definitely get...
