I have Absolutely Loved Burrito Express - Ever since they opened their very first kitchen. Over on the NW Corner of Az Ave & Warner (Right Next to the big Telemarketing Room that I managed) Back in the Mid to Late 90's. I got to kno the Owner and his kids. They are Great People and above & beyond the "Great Burritos" is their Absolutely To Die For Fresh Made "Green Sauce". I could Eat Anything if you just put some of that "Green Sauce" on it. I am so happy to see the Family's Success with all the different Locations that they now have up & going... I used to really Frequent the "Bad Burrito" Location on Higley & Baseline in E. Mesa. The one that I used to see the Owner at alot (Alma School & University) and lately I been trying to stop in at the location on Alma School & Elliot, whenever I'm up here in town before the New Closing Time of 3pm. Even though I can't get Sausage in my Breakfast Burrito there. I can still get my Shredded Beef Burrito & Tons of Xtra Green Sauce. I tell everyone I meet about these guys. Recommend them to any & every one I can. My only complaint so far is that they are Yet to open a location out here in Maricopa, that I could get to deliver right here to my front door. But maybe that's all well n good, atleast for the sake of me being able to squeeze out my front door. Who knows what my Bathroom Scale (and my Checking Account) would have to say if I had daily access to their Menu. Because my Will Power is just not strong enough.
Keep up the great work guys. And I will continue to sing your Praises.
Update 6/10/24: Took and Introduced a New Friend and a Family Member of mine who is here for just 10wks working on Luke AFB. One got a Breakfast Burrito w/ Xtra Cups of Green Sauce and the Other an Enchilada Plate. This was just over a week ago and Both have been back on their own, even introducing Other Friends of Theirs to this Wonderful Spot. Infact my Friend confessed he had gone back Every Day last week for Lunch.
Update 6-22-25: I just found out that Burrito Express is FINALLY Coming to Maricopa. I been Begging you guys for 10 years now. OMG Thank you. For those Fellow Maricopans, They are apparently going inside the Circle K at Porter n Honeycutt. The only thing they are waiting on is they need to get the Utility Company to Run the Natural Gas from the Roadside, Into the Store. For their Kitchen. I absolutely...
Read moreA must go to! Ooh la la oh my gosh so yummy... The choices are endless but not overwhelming (not a hundred items on the menu... just many different ways you can make the nice clean easy on the eyes items on the menu making them endless choices). Outstanding service. So friendly, Very helpful, Nice clean presentation, You can tell they take pride in themselves and the business. They treat ever person that walks in the door of BURRITO EXPRESS like family!... The Food... oh my... the food...AMAZING FOOD! This was my first time here and i wasn't quite sure how the menu worked. Actually it's quite self-explanatory...i was just having an off day. The staff were very sweet and quick to happily help me to not only understand the menu (you can switch this up with that or order it as is on the menu.. things like that) but they also let me know that anything could be built/ordered anyway i wanted it to be. This place really does make it "your way". Absolutely everything is fresh. Nothing is precooked/pre-cut. It's all done when you place your order. Don't mistake that as having to wait a long period of time to get your order. I watching orders being taken before mine and much to my surprise those orders as well as mine all were out within minutes after being ordered. SUM IT UP.... At BURRITO EXPRESS.....Pricing is very low. You pay very little for high quality meat, very fresh veggies, fresh herbs, etc. and get large portions. I went in for lunch and had more than plenty enough left over for dinner that night. Inexpensive, you're not left still hungry, everything is so fresh and oh so yummy. You can't beat that! I really cannot express enough how phenomenal BURRITO EXPRESS is! The atmosphere is very welcoming, very clean, pleasant, it's a place that makes you feel so much at home with them that you enjoy being here! I VERY HIGHLY recommend BURRITO EXPRESS! More...
Read moreThis place never seizes to disappoint. I used to really enjoy their food and their service was always pleasant, but over the years it's just become trash. The food quality suffers but not as much as their customer service. Over the years I have continued to give them my business in hopes my next experience would be better but to my dismay, it never is. First of all, who doesn't accept phone orders for to go? Second of all, what kind of Mexican restaurant limits AND charges extra for their little tiny salsas? This isn't to mention I ordered a chimi style burrito with sour cream and guac, which was neither on the side nor put in my burrito. But you bet I paid extra for that chimi style which was more like a grease bath instead. Sure, this happens from time to time, things are left out, forgotten on orders all the time. The frustration would have been a lot less had the gentlemen running the counter not been a complete tool when taking my order. I tell him the first thing on my order and he mutters out the price and walks away. Do I not get to order anything else before you walk back because I am still standing here waiting for you to allow me to complete my order which seemingly annoys you? Don't forget the obvious scoff to let me know just how inconvenienced you are by my being here. Needless to say, I won't be returning (not that my business will be missed I'm sure) but I encourage others to take their business elsewhere, too. I don't make a lot of reviews because shoddy food and customer service is everywhere, but I felt insulted enough to leave this one and hopefully that has some bearing on the future of this place or the future...
