We LOOOOVE Pita Jungle, we go there once or twice a week most months. We have had some great experiences, and we've also had some not so great, which is expected. However, our experience at this specific location today was super disappointing and frustrating. Specifically, the way our server and the manager handled the server making mistakes with our order. We get it, stuff happens, people make mistakes, not a big deal, and maybe just swallow your pride and stop blaming an 11 year old, on her birthday, for your incompetence. The server placed both kids' orders as separate items instead of kids' meals for whatever reason so, no joke, they brought every single thing from the kids meal, out separately and combined all their portions on one plate per item. The kids are sitting diagonally across the table from each other, and she didn't bring extra plates or napkins for them to somehow share these items off one plate. She explained she thought my kids, ordering and circling items from the kids menu, and poining at the kids menu for some reason wanted all their items ordered a la carte. The server then ignored our table the rest of the time giving us rude stares when my partner went to find her to get boxes for our leftovers, the manager didn't do a thing when we talked to him, not even bring out the missing items until we asked a second time. We also got charged extra for items that come with the kids' meals even though they also charged us for the kids meals. Then, to top it off, we overheard our server gossiping to the server who just got on shift about us. I would highly recommend any Pita Jungle besides this one. This location needs new management, and the server needs a lesson in manners and decent customer service. We usually always tip great and are always very forgiving about mistakes, but the bad attitude is what makes us never want to come back to...
Read morewhat happened to Pita Jungle?? i have been eating here since the early 2000s. my favorite location was on Apache Bl in Tempe. that location has been closed for years and has been replaced by many throughout the valley. i have to say that all the new locations don’t taste the same. my favorite dish is the Lavosh Shawarma. this dish has changed in taste and quantity (less). my latest experience was last night at the gilbert location. i called in an order for take out, Lavosh Shawarma, no onions please. got home and found about half cooked onion in my wrap with hardly any chicken. ugh! i was so hungry i didn’t have the energy and time to go back. so i pulled the onions out and ate it. i only thought to take a picture of the dish after i pulled nearly half an onion out. it did not taste good. i was left dissatisfied. the salad was ok, but i was left hungry because there wasn’t much. also, what’s with the micro size salad dressing?? this dish was about $10. it is now $14 with less chicken, less salad, less dressing. i know adjustments have to be made for inflation but, come on! i’m not one to complain or write reviews, but this was a bad experience and hopefully they will up their game and listen to customer feedback. for the record, this is my first...
Read moreI had a great experience with Robert and the team at Pita Jungle today. My wife and I order out often and I would say 30% of the time the order is incomplete and we don't even know until we get home. It's always upsetting but I just deal with it. So I walked in to Pita Jungle and Robert came out with my food and was very helpful by going over the receipt line by line and double checking that the right food was indeed in the bag. He even ironically apologized for the pizza being too big and the box being too small. I commented that I appreciated his help and that most people don't bother to check the food and he said that he wanted every customer to be happy. I told him that was a rare trait and I could tell he cared about his job. Most people only want a paycheck and to go home as soon as their shift ends. In my opinion this always shows in the quality of their work. Robert is someone you want on your side and on your team. He is a go getter and I dont know him well but I would also bet that you can count on him when you can't with others. Too often I find myself criticizing the negatives of my day but completely forgetting about the positives. So today I wanted to say something positive and Robert...
