The pizza is awesome, great cheesesteaks. 5 stars for food. What I wanted to do is write an FYI for people to not make the same mistake I did though, and that's order online in hopes of getting their food order in and it being ready when you arrive. I assumed this would work fine, seems to work everywhere else. We ordered just one pizza and a cheesesteak, it was Friday so we were given about 45 minute wait time. That's fine, expected, that's why I ordered ahead. However, upon arriving, it seems a ton of people had the same idea, and Tono is less than prepared for this scenario cause there was just a mad jumble of people stacked up by the online order area, and no one seemed to know what to do, including the person working the register. We asked the guy at the counter, and he mentioned that we'd get a text when our order was ready. No problem. We'll wait patiently. Well, we waited, and waited, and waited. While waiting we noticed people coming in and placing orders, taking their seats and within 5-10 minutes they'd have their food. At least 10 people came and ordered and got their food while we waited. We eventually went back up to the guy at the online orders register and asked about our order, at this point it was 75 minutes since we placed our order. The guy looked in the heated locker right next to the register, and noticed our food was in there! We received no text, no one shouted our name. If we hadn't asked, who knows how much longer we'd have waited. The pizza and cheesesteak were definitely in there a while from the feel of it. It was still good, don't get me wrong. This is just a cautionary tale and the reason for the 3 stars for "service", if you think ordering here online will benefit you, you're wrong. Go inside, place an order, and get your food hot and fresh in like 5-10 minutes. Then you won't be disappointed! I put 3 stars for the "atmosphere", because every table was dirty, the trash cans were overflowing, and we sat by one of the windows and noticed there was nothing between the panes, like caulking or anything, so the cold air coming in from the outside door was coming straight through to the dining area through those cracks. So it was chilly! Don't worry, the food is definitely good enough that we'll be back. But we will order in the restaurant next time, and probably won't come on a...
Read moreThe first time I had Tono’s was in February. I had the Mushroom American cheesesteak with steak, white American cheese (may have been pepperjack cheese), grilled onions, mushrooms, garlic aioli and red chili oil. O.M.G.!! It was amazing!!! My husband and son had their own pizza. They both loved it. My husband works just a block away and has been here a handful of times. Not believing how good it was with hearing my husbands experience, now here I am, desperately wanting to come back.
I finally had the chance to come back today and of course, I ordered the same cheesesteak. It was hands down amazing.. AGAIN!! I ended up adding more garlic aioli and red chili oil. They have a fridge stocked with sauce and oil on the counter. I mean seriously? Who does that? Wow! And the fries? So delish!
My son had the Don Pepe Pizza and killed it. My husband had the Burrata salad with chicken and had added honey and red chili oil. I just HAD to try the salad as I love eating burrata salads. Omg. Amazing!! Best burrata salad ever (and this is me comparing it to high end restaurants). I will definitely be back for that.
The cashier, who may possibly be the shift supervisor (since he was wearing all black), continually checked up on us asking us if we needed anything. Now that’s what I call great customer service and care. Ua tsaug!

Read moreWe had the pleasure of trying Tono twice in a week trying both the cheesesteak and the pizzas. The pizza was the winner for us! We got the Don Pepe which is pepperoni and sausage. It is the best pizza around town. Great flavor and just the right amount of spice. We also really enjoyed the Pineapple Express which is cream cheese, ham, pineapple and sweet heat chili sauce. It had a great flavor. We would absolutely get these two pizzas again. On Tuesdays they have an amazing deal of buy a pizza and a pop, get a pizza and a pop. This Tono Tuesday deal is only available in the store though (Not the app and they don't take phone orders). As you can imagine the restaurant was very busy for this deal but the workers are extremely hard working and kind and have it down to a science. I waited 25 minutes which is exactly what they quoted me for time. They also have a bunch of refrigerated sauces (Garlic aioli, bbq aioli, honey ranch and a tangy sauce) and non refrigerated sauces (Balsamic glaze, sweet heat hot honey and infused red chili oil) by the pop machine. Finally a pro tip, sign up for Tono rewards and get $15 rewards after your first order. Combine that with the Tono Tuesday offer and get 2 pizzas and 2 pops for $4. Thank me later....
