Decided to try this place out rather then going to Kais or Jungle Kitchen. It's ticked away in a strip mall behind Chik-Fil-A. Was promptly greeted and seated with a fair number of patrons at 7:30pm on a Friday. Waiter promptly took our drink order, Ramune, Thai Iced Tea, and plain iced tea. Ordered Gyoza as an appetizer and they we good, daughter was hungry so she ate 4 of the 6 in the order. Entrees were Chicken Fried Rice (daughter's favorite dish, she is somewhat of a conisour), Basil Chicken Fried Rice, and a Hibachi Chicken Dinner. The rice entrees came out first, mine was about 5 minutes behind (not horrible but most places will bring all at once). The food was proper temp and all were nicely flavored (didn't need to add salt or soy sauce). Overall food was on par with Jungle Kitchen, Kais is a bit better. We finished off the meal with Tempura Cheesecake which was very tasty.

So why 3 instead of 4 stars? Some service items. We had asked for a fork for my daughter, never got it so it's good she is decent with chop sticks. Finished my Thai Iced tea and wasn't asked if I wanted another or something else. Check was brought before we received our desert which we asked for rather then being asked if we wanted anything for desert. As a Resturant I would think they would want to try and offer you desert or after dinner drinks.

So will I be back? Yeah I'll probably come back but nothing to go out of your way for. Good for me they had a 15% off coupon so didn't seem...

We were referred by a friend that Soya Sushi was a great place in Chanhassen.

Tonight was a last minute, unplanned stop on a Saturday night. Thinking of getting takeout but ended up staying because there were many open tables. We asked if getting takeout vs sitting down at a table was faster. We were told it would be about the same timeframe.

Unfortunately I was really disappointed with the slow service. It took nearly 45 minutes to receive our rolls. We ordered 3 specialty rolls and 2 basic rolls. It was clear that they lost our order/ticket. Tables around us got seated after us and received their food before us. I’m a small business owner and I understand these things happen. I’m not okay with the lack of communication and the lack of taking ownership of the mistake. The waitress sensed our frustration and addressed it with the coworkers. She started to bring our rolls out as they were ready, which just made for a less than ideal dinner service. Again, nothing was addressed or said to us. I just watched the interaction between the employees talking about us.

When we did receive our food it looked good but tasted very average. The taste of the food did not make up for the long wait time.

Between the slow service and the average sushi rolls, sadly we don’t think we will be back. There are other amazing sushi spots in the twin cities that offer better sushi and are more appreciative of...

I recently visited Soya, and as always, I had an amazing experience! I have been a regular customer of this sushi place for quite some time now, and I can confidently say that the quality of their food and service has never disappointed me.

Every time I step into the restaurant, I am greeted with warm smiles from the staff, who are always eager to make my dining experience comfortable and enjoyable.

But let's talk about the food - Soya has undoubtedly some of the best sushi in town! The ingredients are always fresh, and the rolls are perfectly crafted. Every bite feels like a burst of flavors in my mouth, and I can never get enough of it. I especially love their Mexican rolls - they are simply delicious!

And if that's not enough, their service is exceptional. The staff is always attentive to my needs, and they make sure that everything is perfect throughout my meal. They also provide great recommendations, which helps me explore new dishes.

Overall, I would highly recommend Soya to anyone looking for a top-notch sushi experience. I eat there at least twice a month, and every time, I leave with a smile on my face and a satisfied belly. Thank you, Soya, for always delivering such great food...

Consistently great!! We ordered take out from here AT LEAST once a month through all of covid and LOVED it every time. We never had an incorrect order. We are loyal customers! We used to like the local all you can eat place, but the quality here at soya is SO MUCH BETTER it's been near impossible to go back. We dined in for the first time after covid tonight and were stunned by how friendly and fast the service was! Top notch, attentive but not overbearing, and the food (all sushi) came out in MAYBE 10 minutes, probably less, and was delicious, well done, and well plated! We love it here and highly recommend!!
