A friend and I drove to Chapel Hill after the release of Oprah's favorite things. Just to try the pound cake Oprah chose and I have to say, the pound cake is a masterpiece, Oprah apparently knows good pound cakes. The perfect balance of sweetness and richness, with a melt-in-your-mouth texture. The subtle hint of lemon adds a delightful complexity. A must-try. This is an absolute gem of a restaurant, and our family’s favorite recent find. They have a nice selection of southern favorites. All of the food I’ve tried there has been fresh and tasty. The fried catfish I had was particularly excellent, piping hot and really delicious. My wife really enjoyed the fried chicken, and the burgers were a huge hit with our kids.
