. This Bob Evans is terrible. PLASTIC WAS GRILLED ON MY EGGS AND HAVE A PICTURE!! We used to love this Bob Evans but NOT ANYMORE. I do not know what's going on here but they need a complete overhaul of management at this restaurant and the Cooks. They also need to train the employees better!! Back at the end of 2024 to the beginning of 2025 I had ordered family-sized Macaroni and cheese when I went to eat it, it tasted Sour and Spoiled! I asked my husband to taste it and he said the same thing. Also, noticed many complaints online about the same thing I had just experienced about the sour, spoiled mac and cheese. I called the District Manager and he said they knew about the problem and asked me to give them some more chances. Next order my husband got the pot roast sandwich and the bread was not cooked and crispy as it was supposed to be. I did give them several more chances and my orders are hardly ever correct I pay extra for loaded hashbrowns and don't get them half the time so that is a hit or miss or food is missing on pick up and delivery. They will tell you to pick up food at a certain time and they come out 20 minutes after pickup time to tell you they are out of 2 to 3 things you ordered. Food looks nothing like it should. Last night was the LAST STRAW we tried them again as my hubby worked a long day and we just wanted food delivered. I ordered the Farmhand biscuits sandwiches with loaded hashbrowns Talk about DISCUSTING never got the loaded hash browns and the EGG had PLASTIC GRILLED ONTO IT. I TOOK PICTURES OF IT. I immediately called the Manager and told him about it and he said it's not plastic and other people have complained about the same thing and argued about it. I said then why is it making a cracking sound and I can't break it with my fingers I told him I wanted a refund and asked him for the District Manager # and he gave me every excuse to not give it like my phone isn't on me or you can find it on our website and then never gave it to me! Read moreWe decided to go to Bob Evans this morning for breakfast, usually a great experience: But not this time! Our server was either new?? or was having an off day??.....I believe (from receipt) her name was Leah.......she started off good, greeting, what can I get you to drink-then downhill from there-coffee bought to us the 1st time seem to have little floaters in it ??......next seemed like we had to beg for refills of coffee(without floaters)...LOL-then I asked for strawberries on the side with my order-server comes to the table after a long time & tells me they would have to charge me for the strawberries (why would I think you wouldn't??)so she bought me some on the side at no charge & says "don't tell anyone she doesn't want to get in trouble "(WTH)....the strawberries she bought out to me (3 whole strawberries 🍓, uncut)like she just threw them in a bowl really fast..... When I walk into a restaurant to sit down, place an order & wait for my order to get pre-pared-I UNDERSTAND I WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR MY ORDER-SO DON'T TAKE SHORT CUTS ON MY ORDER!....I have ordered in the past these items with no problem! 3 WHOLE STRAWBERRIES WITH LEAVES/STEMS STILL ATTACHED! WOW! I cut one WHOLE strawberry with my butter knife & just left the rest uneaten-WOW! Had I been charged for them, THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN A PROBLEM INDEED!
When I order strawberries, they are normally cut, in a small bowl or plate(no stems or leaves for me to cut off)!!!
Give the paying customer what they order, PLEASE! Don't worry over having to charge the customer for it, THAT'S THE POINT OF THE BUSINESS!
The service is usually really great, just not with this particular server-I hope management will address this type of issue with Leah for better service to other patrons in...
Read moreFirst, I will start with the positive...this Bob Evans has a nice, bright, modern interior which I enjoy. It also has plenty of parking since it is in the parking lot of the Chardon Home Depot.
Unfortunately, this restaurant has very inconsistent service and quality. We went there many times in the first several months when it first opened and we would have a good meal and service and then have an awful experience the next few times. One time we were seated and then no one came to take our order, so we eventually had to walk out. After that experience we avoided this place for a very long time. We eventually started to come back on occasion in the hope that the restaurant would be running smoothly, but we have experienced the same types of issues that made us avoid this place. At times, the food and service are fine, but then in other instances there are problems such as a slow kitchen, slow service, food quality issues, dishes not cleared from tables, or slow at the checkout register. The last time we visited a few months ago, we were served burnt bacon. I have visited several other Bob Evans restaurants and have never had any similar issues. Hopefully this place will get things figured out at some point, because it could be a real asset to the area. But for now, there are better...
