Maggies Doughnuts Chardon — Restaurant in Chardon

The donuts were all awesome!!! I called ahead to order a dozen donuts so that they were ready for me when I got there and I could just go. When I got there the worker did not have them ready and on top of that made me wait approximately another 5 minutes while talking to another customer about something that wasn't even relevant. She gave me an extra donut to make up for my time but was that really enough to make up for things not being ready and still having to wait another 5 minutes?? I dont think so. It was inconvenient and rude in my opinion. The lady was nice to me but I'm pretty sure you can talk to other people and box 12 donuts to have them ready for someone else at the same time. The old lady working here doesn’t know the difference between a chocolate donut and chocolate frosted donut. Which seems pretty basic for a donut shop. Also they make it sound like they have a big selection. But they don’t. They have vanilla cake or vanilla raised, and that’s it, glazed, chocolate frosted or sprinkles. Round or twisted or what looks like a hockey puck but it has a hole you can’t see. There are also some filled ones but probably shouldn’t ask the lady working there because she probably doesn’t know and she also likes to sneak extra donuts in your box that you didn’t ask for. And she can’t really handle the donuts with the tongs. She drops them...

First time at Maggie’s. Asked the cashier/donut dealer (not sure title) for recommendations. I was interested to hear her thoughts. She didn’t have many and I started to be become disinterested. Then the customer that was before me jumped in and raved on and suggested multiple donuts to try. He should be a spokesperson. I got the maple bacon, maple cinnamon roll, sprinkles, and a bunch others for the family and neighbor. Overall the donuts were ok for the price. A little hard which was a bummer. I’ll try the location closer to me another time. Everyone deserves...
