My daughter and I picked up lunch when I was out in Chardon for a doctor's appointment. I'd never been to this McDonalds before as it's about an hour away from our house. I sat in the parking lot and ordered through the mobile app. I literally pulled up to the intercom, mentioned I had a mobile app order with 2 of the numbers and the lady said my name. I confirmed, pulled around and my order was being handed to me with a smile from a very friendly guy. He gave me the feeling he was the manager, with his confidence and experience. He even informed me my straw was in the bag (for my Oreo frappe, which is my first time trying that). His pleasant attitude is what first made me notice how nice this pick up order was, but a couple minutes into our drive I went to hand my daughter a napkin from my bag (which I was so happy was included), when she said "you can keep it Mom, I have one". I responded "They even put a napkin in your Happy Meal?". She said yah. I was shocked. Not that I should be shocked. Napkins should be in a kids meal. And there wasn't an abundance of napkins. It was 1 or 2 for both of us. I know this isn't that exciting, but it was just a really great order that had me thinking how great it was even after we left and now a week later to leave this review. Most of the time when I'm dealing with any customer service I'm thinking to myself, wow, this person really hates their life. Not this time. His attitude really was contagious. It made me smile and trust me, I'm a hockey Mom, sometimes I am the exact opposite of Suzy Sunshine. I meant to do a survey about that guy at the window, but I have to figure out if you can even do those on the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI could not rate this location low enough. TLDR:My girlfriend and I got some sort of food poisoning after eating half of a dinner box. I've had food poisoning before but this was just agonizing.
Extended: We rolled up to the the nearly empty drive through around 7pm and we're greeted by an energetic sounding young employee, we took a minute to decide and as soon as I said the words "Dinner Box" the kids tone changed to outwardly annoyed (but remained polite and we pulled forward, got our meal, and ate it in the parking lot with no issue. On the way home my girlfriend and I both began to feel sick to our stomachs, she ate much less than I did (a small fry, 5 nuggets, and a cheeseburger) while I decided to go for the whopper, two small fries, and some nuggets. I spent the entire sleepless night in a nauseous fever sweat with the worst sharp pain in my lower right abdomen, it was agonizing to say the least. It took 3 days for the pain to stop affecting my walking.
Sidenote: I am a fairly healthy 27 year old 6'1, 150 Ibs and I generally stay away...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhile the staff in the drive thru is friendly, the counter, not so much. And of course, the lobby is open sporadically at best. Today it is closed. Itās completely random. There is no rhyme or reason as to when itās closed or open, which is extremely frustrating. Having worked in the fast food industry for 8 years (many years ago to be fair) things like this never happened. I canāt recall ever seeing a McDonaldās lobby closed. Talk about lack of customer service! Iād blame the pandemic, but that was 2+ years ago. Corporate needs to get their head on straight and whoever does the staffing, plan on putting more people on the schedule! You can always send them home but itās hard to call people in!! Stop worrying so much about labor costs and schedule for a Saturday morning. Itās ALWAYS been one of the busiest days since forever. If youāre in the area, avoid peak times if possible. Other than that, the food is typically hot and fresh. Donāt forget to check your bag before you...
