As a table of five, these were collective opinions of ours.
Dry and/or bland white people "Mexican" food.
Language barrier made it difficult for one person to place an order for him and his girlfriend. They tried to politely bring it up that they received the wrong item, but were not listened to and afraid of conflict. They got Verdes enchiladas instead of pablano
Refried beans tasted like they were out of a can.
Bland chicken enchiladas, (I agreed). She instead wished she ordered 4 beef vs 2 beef and 2 chicken.
I ordered a muscle, shrimp, and scallop soup. I was suspicious of it since it was very affordable compared to other places that serve that kind of food. When it arrived, it smelled like dirty barn stables, and it quickly attracted every knat and fly in the restaurant. I had to double check to make sure it was safe to eat, but it was quite unpleasant and very bland and devoid of any sort of spices or other details that would have made it better.
Everyone I ate with was definitely grossed out by it, and nobody finished their meals.
On my personal 1-10 rating, where 5 is completely neutral and indifferent, I'd put this place at a 3. I don't have high expectations, and this place didn't meet them. I've had "hodgepodge" plates of food while sitting on 5.gal buckets and meals at sketchy places I've feared for my life that were more enjoyable than this restaurant. Which is a stark contrast to how nice the restaurant and...
Read morei can't give 1 star because i do enjoy the food usually and the servers themselves are always great. but my last experience is as follows: i arrive to pick up my order (literally 2 items-queso and the chile con queso dips) and while my credit card was being run I looked in my bag and i received only 1 of the 2 items correct. i was super polite and just stated that i was missing something. before i could say anything else the waitress sent me the manager. i explained to her what i was missing, apologized for any miscommunication and said numerous times i would pay for the correction, i was NOT looking for free food! the size of the sauce i received looked small so i asked about that as well. this just sent her over the edge. the manager there was so extremely rude, she was hostile, nasty, told me i ordered my food wrong and then proceeded to make a scene in front of another customer as well as the staff. i was so thrown off by her behavior that i panicked. i apologized again even though i did nothing wrong and insisted on paying the difference for the missing food. i handed her more money than what i owed and got out of there as fast as i could. never in my life have i had a restaurant treat me so badly that i was in tears. after looking at other reviews i am not the only person who has had an awful experience with this lady. she should look into another career because dealing with customers is not...
Read moreBeen here a few times in the past never in issue until now, called over an hour before they said they were going to close online, told him we were coming , walked in, and one guy says to the other guy in Spanish the kitchen is closing , mind you this is 45 minutes before they're supposed to be closed . Jorge came to our table and said not to rush you but the kitchen is closing early tonight and then he proceeded to rush us the rest of the night, no chips and salsa, never asked for dessert, visited the table 2 times only, the food was dried , uneventful, actually needed salt! It's funny how workers in Mexican restaurants think nobody knows how to speak Spanish, my girlfriend is Mexican, we hear everything. I thought I was doing her a favor by bringing her to a quality Mexican restaurant, she could've made better food easily Save yourself the time and aggravation and drive to mentor Avenue and go down to don tequilas , wonderful people cheaper, excellent food thankful employees. By the way we weren't even the last table seated that night in...
