THIS is the sandwich shop that James Island had been lacking. They have a wide selection of sandwiches to choose from, and their in-house circular French bread is fresh and delicious. Crispy on the outside but soft and pillowy on the inside. I ordered the "Salvation" sandwich in medium which is their most popular offering. It was a bit pricey at $14 after tax and tip, but worth it for the generous portion size and tasty fillings. I’m a big eater but I’d probably be fine just ordering the small next time which is still quite loaded. The employees are also very friendly. Highly recommended!

Stopped in and tried their signature sandwich today, the salvation. It’s ham, salami and mortadella with 3 cheeses on toasted bread. I did the medium which was a big portion for one person. I probably could have gone with the small and been fine. The bread, cheese and mustard kind of took away from the meats in my opinion. I might try it plain next time to get a better taste of the main parts. It was good and a solid portion sandwich. I think it was around $12 with tax which is kind of expensive for just a sandwich but you won’t be hungry.

Listen, I worked at Jimmy Johns for 4 years, however…my loyalty is now to Alvin Ord. Just went to the new spot on James Island and was SO impressed, how delish. The one thing I didn’t ask about but hope they have is some sort of hot pepper for me to add to my next sandwich bc I like it spicy. :) 10/10 on customer service and sandwich. I’m about to eat the other half I’m supposed to be saving for my husband.

If you think a sandwich is just a sandwich then you should try this place. I like a sandwich, but never expect much, this was next level good. I had a turkey on whole wheat. Sounds pretty vanilla, right? Bread was warm and tasted freshly baked. Its the perfect mix of protein and veggies, not too much onion. I ordered a medium and only ate half, to have something to look forward to. A large is the size of a small pizza. Sandwiches here are round. Bread is homemade. It's owned by a young local and his mom, so you are supporting a small...
