So sad to say our service was terrible after enjoying visiting and providing positive reviews in the past I am not sure what has changed but the staff was very unapologetic and could careless how long it took to get two salads. All I can assume is that it was because I did not add addl tip to my takeout order. I am a very big tipper if I dine in and service is provided above and beyond just handing me food to go. When I inquired why everyone behind me had gotten food that was hot and salads and why mine was still not ready. The response was a shoulder shrug and no apology and no recognition that it was absurd but all she said was I don’t know I suppose we do hot food first. It wasn’t like they didn’t know the food was delayed it was two salads and hummus with pita nothing fancy with the red light flashing on the screen but the staff just walked by as if nothing was amiss. All I can think is they must have had some reason for delaying our food and just ignoring us. Stopped in yesterday and the experience was awful. After ordering we sat and were told they would bring the food out to us. Almost 20 minutes later nothing? Others came in and were served while we waited. I went up and told them that we had not received our food. The staff looked at each other then laughed and joked about it. We were told they never even started preparing the food already paid for and that they would prepare it right away. A few minutes later after watching the staff still standing around and looking at us sitting with no food, they were laughing and finding amusement in how upset and disappointed we were. Horrible/non service is bad enough, but to snicker and laugh was inexcusable. The owners management should be ashamed of this treatment and I would not recommend this place after such a horrible experience! I'm sad to write a poor review - because I'd like this restaurant to succeed. Sometimes the food is pretty solid, but sometimes it's entirely substandard. I think it's related to the lack of attention on food quality and service. I have often called in for pickup at about 7pm. The most recent visit, the food was ready in literally 4 minutes after I ordered and I picked it up just a few minutrs later. The Gyro was cold, like they never even heated up the pita. They stack all the customer orders up on the counter because they actually stop taking orders by 7:30pm - and there they all sit stacked up on the counter - just getting ice cold. Point is, it seems the cooks and staff place more importance on "getting out the door to go home by 8pm" than they place on serving great food to paying customers.
