Food was good and solid atmosphere, also good service in the restaurant area. My issue and reason for 3 stars is the arcade. It’s obvious that whoever is running this side of the business doesn’t care about the quality of the experience. There were numerous machines that were broken, including both card loading machines (how you actually play the games) being out of order and in limited working order. In addition to many being broken (please see photos), the claw prize machines were loaded with prizes 2x as large as the claws making them impossible to win. To top it off, all of the games were $2 PER PLAY. This is a prime example of someone responding to higher prices in our world with a “let’s charge the highest price possible, people will pay it” mentality. The obvious issue is that when you charge a high price, people expect a premium product. This was not anywhere close to being acceptable, much less “premium”. We won’t be back and if you don’t want to tell your kids “sorry, no more games” after you spend $20 on them failing to win prizes and trying to play games that eat their money, you shouldn’t bring your family here either.

Food was great, arcade was terrible. There were about 12 or so games to play and they worked by sliding a card you put money on (typical arcade prepaid card). Twice, the machine took our money and put nothing onto our cards, leading us to wait for the manager to manually put money on the card, which took about 15 minutes the first time. We kind of expected him to put extra on the card for the trouble, but we got what we paid for. After coming back to reload our cards, the machine again didn't work, but we got a receipt that my friend accidently ripped a small piece off of, which he threw in the trash. When the manager came back, instead of trusting our word, he looked through the trash to find the small piece of receipt for about ten minutes and then took the entire bin to the kitchen to go dumpster diving looking for the tiny piece of receipt. He finally came back after us waiting for over 20 minutes, and worst of all, didn't even load up the card with any money. We left extremely disappointed and I highly recommend only going to this place for the food, as the arcade is utter garbage. The food was actually very good though.

We ate at Garage 75 for the first time last night. We were visiting Folly Beach and one of our party members wanted steak without having to go back to downtown Charleston. After searching “steak” in google maps, this was the only place that had a ribeye in our area. We were hesitant since it seemed like a bar and grill more than a place to get a good steak, but we are sure glad we went. Our server, Morgan, was a sweetheart. She was knowledgeable about the food and the beer. She was also very attentive. The food was fantastic! The steak eaters even said “that’s one of the best steaks I’ve ever had” and it was also reasonably priced. We also had the fried shrimp, Brie appetizer, and chicken salad croissant. All delicious food! To top it off, we got to meet the owner. You could tell he loved his job, he loved his guests, and he loved his community! He was so enthusiastic and talked to us for a while about his vision of a perfect, family, reasonably priced dinner spot-and that’s what he has created! Don’t hesitate when choosing dinner...this is the place to go, again, and again, and again.

September 2025 Garage 75 has quickly become a family favorite for us!

Vibe: We’ve been a few Thursday evenings, & it’s always a blast. The kids head straight for the arcade, while the adults enjoy trivia night (starts at 6pm during football season). The atmosphere is lively & fun, & there are plenty of TVs so, you’ll always catch your favorite team while hanging out with family or friends.

Food: We’ve tried the LowCountry Steak Sandwich, Fish & Chips, Greek Grilled Shrimp Salad, & their wings (classic or boneless). On Thursdays, 20 wings with 2 flavors are just $13.75, a great deal! The Old Bay Dry Rub is my personal favorite, but we also love their Mild & Thai Chili flavors.

For Apps, the Garage 75 Fries (we added cheese and bacon) were amazing~ think creamy queso vibes with a little kick. The Pickle Fries with jalapeño ranch were also super tasty.

Looking at older menus, it seems they had Bone-In Pork Chop & Crabcake Dinners, Santa Fe & a Charred Blue Cheese Wedge Salads. We’d love to see those make a comeback, along with their Candied Brussels & Pretzel Bites from their apps list!

Service: The service has been fantastic every time. Servers, bartenders, food runners, & even management (Mr. Ryan) have all been friendly & attentive.

Kiddos: The arcade + kids menu = what else is there?! Our daughter enjoyed the kids’ Grilled Shrimp with Fries, but she’s also ordered the Fish & Chips from the adult menu. Both she devoured! She has also ended her meals with their Apple Pie Skillet w/ Vanilla Ice Cream. Not sure who loves it more- the kids or adults!

Seating, Parking & Accessibility: Lots of comfortable indoor & outdoor seating. We’ve noticed it’s easy to navigate for guests with wheelchairs, scooters, & walkers. Parking has always been plentiful, including handicap. We’ve never had to wait for a table, & reservations aren’t needed.

Bonus: We live 30 min away, but it’s worth our drive, even during Charleston rush hour 🤪 Hands Down!

We’ll be back!...

RACIST, RACIST PLACE. THEY PUT GNATS IN MY DRINK. I tried so hard to give it the benefit of the doubt me & my boyfriend kept our cool the whole time. Smh if you’re black and looking to try something new DO NOT even think about this place. I never experienced this kind of behavior ever. Server did the bare minimum, put everyone before us. When she took our order she sat at our table and was probably sick because she kept coughing all over while rocking the table that definitely wasn’t sturdy… The jerk chicken came out to be fried chicken with only salt and pepper on it. Server did offer extra “ Caribbean seasoning “ but brought back oregano 😐😐 THEN she told us speak now or forever hold our peace because it’ll be a while because another table is coming and to just wave her down if we need her. When we did finally waved her down for the check and To-go box she avoided us then finally looked over and nodded her head .. went back to another table before us when they didn’t even ask her for anything thennn came to us. THE WORST PART IS WHEN My boyfriend ordered a shot at the bar & the bartender wiped the other customer’s cup and didn’t Wipe my boyfriend’s. Come to find out There were THREE GNATS IN MY CUP after it took forever to get to the table .. the drink was dark so I didn’t realize it until I got closer to the bottom, they didn’t apologize they just took the cup & walked away. Just disgusting!! No respect bad...

My boyfriend and I live on Folly. He has been coming to this restaurant for years. We came here on a Friday night to unwind and have steaks. He ordered his usual ribeye; I ordered the filet. Our steaks came out and we noticed that my steak smelled a bit sour. After tasting it, I knew immediately it was bad. We flagged down the server and she said that she would have the chef come out to talk to me. After waiting 15-20 minutes, the chef came out with a new steak. He told me that this steak was from the same package of meat and that they received it on Wednesday., so it “should” be ok. Would you take a bite of that new steak, knowing that it sat in a package with foul meat? My stomach turned at the thought of being their guinea pig, so I told them to take it back. My boyfriend finished his ribeye, which in all fairness was great as usual. The real issue here is how the situation was handled. Never did a manager come over to talk with us. I didn’t eat and the server’s concession of taking my steak off the check was something I was supposed to be grateful for.

I’m really so disappointed in the whole situation. They ruined for us what was once a great place for us to eat nearby. Horrible service is really the problem here. Insult to injury, we still had a $50 check for my boyfriend’s steak...
