Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Charleston

The actual worst food experience I’ve ever had in my life. I ordered online, got my birthday smoothie and bought a smoothie for my husband. I went in a little early and was expecting to wait a bit to get our smoothies. When I told them I had an online order, they gave me just the one smoothie. Normally, I’m pretty chill about that, and I kindly let them know that I was missing a smoothie. One girl acknowledged me and when about her way. The girl on smoothie make ignored me and the other girl on smoothie finish also ignored me to scroll on her phone and go to the bathroom. So I stated again that I was missing a smoothie, and again no one said anything. Two customers came in and were also completely ignored for at least 2 minutes. I’ve worked in food and bev for 4 years, 2 of those at a tropical smoothie cafe in my home town, and you cannot ignore people when they come in or when they need help. Warm Sunday and I was craving a smoothie. My sister randomly put smoothie into her Waze app and Tropical Smoothie Cafe popped. Upon walking in we were greeted nicely by the ladies working today. They were helpful when picking smoothies. I also picked a chicken bacon ranch flat bread that came super fast, hot and was very tasty. I selected the watermelon mojito smoothie and got the edible strawberry 🍓 straw. It is absolutely delicious and refreshing. My mother selected the island punch and also loved it. She raved about how much she received. What a bang for her buck! My sister got the island green smoothie with ginger and p protein with an edible lime straw. My son (10yrs old) got strawberry smoothie with strawberry edible straw. All were delicious SERIOUSLY! Bathroom was spotless and smelled cleans. The space over all was clean and well kept. Music selection was pleasant and even when the crowd came through the door everyone worked smoothly together and no one had a wait of longer than a min or two for anything.. over all...

Look the food tastes great but the amount is a joke. The first picture is how what I ordered is supposed to look. The a following pictures are what I actually received. A TACO from Taco Bell has more stuff inside of it than this flat bread did. Truly false advertising.

Update: this place got really good for a while really loved tbis place and now order from here 2-3 times a week but now its gone downhill again. They just lazily throw slop in a flat bread. No care or thought behind it. Litterally all the sauce is on one half of my flatbread and all the avacado is on the other half then is just squished all to hell into a wrapper and falling apart. Smoothie not blended fully. Laziness and poor quality control. Retrain your people please. I love tropical smoothie and im sick of the poor quality. I DO NOT want to stop ordering from here but i will not keep wasting money if this is how...
