The atmosphere was AMAZING. It was like being transported somewhere else. The decor, lighting, and soft music provided a really enjoyable ambiance. The food was okay. Reasonably priced for what it was, but definitely didn’t match the vibe. I would love to see this restaurant redo their menu. Less options, new recipes, more expensive. The place could be great. Our waiter was a little rude but nothing major. He seemed flustered by another table and annoyed with us needing time to look over the menu. My boyfriend loved the seafood platter, except for the fact that the scallops and shrimp were not cleaned properly before being prepared. There was sand in his scallops he kept biting into. We didn’t complain, but will definitely not order seafood from here again. Even though it was beautifully seasoned and well cooked, not being cleaned beforehand is a dealbreaker. I was assured the spaghetti sauce is vegetarian, and does not have pork bones in it. Which is something I always look out for at nicer Italian restaurants. I was very happy to have that vegetarian option. Dessert was the best part of the experience. The tiramisu was delightful and I paired it with a delightful heavy Italian Red. If I were to return, I would likely only meet up with friends over wine and Tiramisu and skip dinner.

One of my all time favorite Italian restaurants. A classic staple of Charleston. Their dishes are alway delicious, no matter what day or time you come here. Everything from tortellini, veal clambrazia, garlic toast, spumoni ice cream, you can’t go wrong with any of the options. Servers are all friendly & attentive. Environment is nice and romantic, good for everything from a date or family get togethers. Will forever be a favorite!

Awesome little hidden Italian restaurant. Waiter was awesome. All the food was delicious. Had the calamari as an appetizer. Was perfectly cooked. Not chewy at all. Also had the seafood fettuccine. Sauce was delicious. My gf had the chicken marsala. Daughter had chicken Alfredo. Everyone loved their meal. Little pricey but def worth the money. We'll def be back.

I was excited to be a total fat boy at this place. I was utterly disappointed literally from the door. It was freezing cold and there was a line waiting outside for the doors to open at 5pm. Because it was freezing it felt like 20 mins later but it was more like 4-5 mins past 5pm. We didn't have a reservation but we only waited for about 8 mins to get seated. The host walks us over to a table literally right next to the men's bathroom. Bad placement. I politely asked him did he have another table away from the bathroom. He obliged, got on the walkie talkie and said "don't sit anyone at 14". Our waiter greets us and BTW he was great. I came to EAT so I started with the sweet and sour wings and fried ravioli. The wings had the texture like those frozen bag of small fried wings out of the supermarket. Just overly breaded and the sauce was eh. The fried ravioli was dry and boring but I did like the level of spice. I then ordered the Cannelloni. What a disaster. The plating was horrendous. It arrived in a small oval dish. It reminded me of those Hungry Man meals. It was only missing the plastic film you pull back off it right before you stick your fork in it and burn the roof of your mouth. I ordered the peppercorn steak medium rare with cognac sauce on the side to go. To my surprise the next day when I warmed it up i noticed they cooked it perfectly and it wasn't bad. Overall imo that's not authentic Italian. None of it looked or tasted homemade. I threw down $120 plus a respectable tip for our great server for mid quality food. I remember before we came in, my buddy who accompanied me there was telling me in the car how he's been here before. I said "what did you have?". He said " I don't remember." 🤔 Food...

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Firstly, our server and his trainee were wonderful and this is in no way at them. However, the management and food is absolutely horrible. We had a party of 8 and all ordered entrees, some drinks, and appetizers (hinting that we spent a good deal of money at this place). The only good thing was our server and our garlic bread. The “owner” or whatever that lady behind the register was was absolutely horrible, no wonder no one comes here anymore. I have never in my life experienced a ruder person let alone an owner. One of the members of our party was running very late and they have a policy that you cannot be seated until the whole party has arrived. 8/9 members were there and had been waiting for over 20 minutes while the restaurant was nearly completely empty. Our person would be running 30+ minutes late and asked us to just start without him and we informed the “owner” of that and I have never had a more distasteful experience from an individual. The food was not good whatsoever especially for what we paid for it. The salad was soggy but overall the entree food just tasted disgusting as we all got different entrees, not one said theirs was even remotely good and several didn’t even eat theirs. We grew up with this restaurant and have loved it for decades and we will never, ever be back. We could’ve had a better meal at McDonald’s. We tipped our servers and left and along with many others, we’ll never be back. Manager was rude to not only our party but several other parties...

This was my first time dining there and honestly I felt like it was overrated and overpriced. Two other friends were with me. One who had been there before and one who had not. I've heard this place was nice from several people, so my expectations may have been set too high.

The garlic toast one friend ordered with her pizza was on point. But I'm not sure that was complimentary like I would've expected, I think she had to order it, lol.

I thought it was disappointing that they couldn't update their menu's pricing, instead there's several items listed with no prices, they just read "market price", in other words, "ask for price". I don't know, I found that to be a little stuffy, but maybe I don't eat at nice enough restaurants or something. My filet was good and filling, but for $57, I could've gone about anywhere else and had food left over.

When we were leaving one friend wanted to take home what was left of her pizza, so she asked for a carry out container. I would've thought our waitress would have let her take care of it herself or at least used some sort of utensil to handle her food. Nope, instead she just bare handled everything, gross, lol.

For me, this place wouldn't be my first choice. Maybe it's only intended to be a special occasion type restaurant or something, I'm not sure (at least there's no dress code). People have stressed to me how great of a restaurant this place is and how it's a pseudo-famous, city staple, but my first impression didn't...
