The subs are great. Some of the best I've had in a long time. But the first time I went there the music was so loud you couldn't hear yourself talk. Then both times I've been there the staff was horribly rude and unhelpful. This 2nd time I was going to order two separate subs. A chicken Philly sub and a chicken chipotle sub. I simply asked if the chicken Philly has mayo and the girl got serious attitude and said, what's on the sandwich is what's listed, or something like that. So since I'm new to ordering here and how hateful she got I thought that meant I couldn't ask for extra mayo. Since I'm autistic and ADHD and get sensory overwhelm when someone gets rude like that I don't think straight. I thought I might be doing something wrong and I'd figure it out later because she seemed very irritated I was wasting her time. So I said I'd just get two regular size chicken chipotle sandwiches. I swear she rolled her eyes at me and I almost cried to be honest.
My friend ended up asking for extra mayo and got it from the same person with no problem. She could have done her job and told me I could add mayo if I wanted to get the sandwich too.. Instead I got charged extra by ordering two regular sized sandwiches of the same sandwich and if I had thought about it I'd have just ordered a bigger size sandwich since I didn't get the chicken Philly. She could have helped me out in multiple different ways if she had even a small amount of customer service skills. I'm not sure why people work these jobs if they hate dealing with customers, give them a job in the back where they don't have to deal with us if they hate us so much but need money to live. It isn't our fault if the pay/work is bad. I wasn't rude, hateful, or anything negative. I was actually really happy to get out with my friend.
Edit: I called and left a msg at the number Ted left in reply to my review here and no one's called me back to discuss the issues I had at this location, like their reply claimed they wanted me to do. Removing a star because that seems like performative "caring" and I don't think...
Read moreReviews, by me, are not only about the food such as taste, preparation, quality, etc.; it's about the atmosphere and quality of those that work there and their interaction while you're there. It adds to "the experience." Today, I tried the #17 cheesesteak sub sandwich. It came with onions and peppers, was seasoned well, and topped with American cheese, not the true Philly Whiz. Overall, there was plenty of meat, and the sandwich tasted very good as far as cheesesteaks go. The bread was a little too airy. BTW: we go here quite frequently; almost weekly. There's a young woman with a long braided pony tail who usually takes your order and slices the meats. She NEVER smiles and actually has a distinct scowl all the time. I think her name is Kaitlyn. After ordering, I mistook the size of the bread and mentioned it to her. She actually snapped loudly back at me. Wowza! Really? You just ruined what's usually a good experience here. In fact, it seems she sets the mood for the other six or so employees. They, too, now seem not to smile either. It's a bad atmosphere now. The food is a winner. We love all their sandwiches. But, eating there is now a negative. I guess we'll just get "to go" from now on.
7/1/25: Decided to try it again. especially since they make the best cheesesteaks in the area. Yes, Miss I-Dont-Smile -Ever was there not smiling, nor greeting, etc. The others seemed happier, and I enjoyed a quick, pleasant conversation with Ali as he was making sandwiches. I'll post a couple of pictures below of a well stuffed cheesesteak hero. I get it with the green peppers and onions. Mmmmmm.......so good! If you like a good cheesesteak, you should give this one...
Read moreI’ve had very mixed experiences with this Jersey Mike, there’s been many great experiences where they were fast and friendly and I had no problem getting my food but my last experience was very poor, they messed up my order and I ended up paying for 2 regulars and a giant when I should’ve only had to pay for 2 giants, the cashier and sandwich wrapper we’re talking instead of ringing us up and while my food was good and made correctly I witnessed at least 2 other customers come back in to request new sandwiches because they had received the wrong item or the item they received was not made correctly, this upsets me because like I said I usually have good experiences here but this experience was enough to keep me away for awhile. Jersey Mikes at southridge you will be an amazing restaurant if you keep doing the things you do well and fix the mistakes it seems you may have a history of making...
