The only good thing about this place was the guys attitude while taking our order and the nice lady in the lobby doing the overall clean up. Heather on the other hand had a complete attitude issue especially when it comes to ensuring orders are right for not only combat veterans but also Hispanic combat veterans. We ordered 2 of the same sandwiches same drinks and all but they messed up half of the order. When told about the mess up and it was an issue due to an allergy she rolled her eyes and told us that she would have to re-ring it in and we would have to wait the whole wait time! Why do the customers at this locations have to be inconvenienced due to the employees mess up?? There was absolutely no need to the attitude even when the "fixed" with a sticker they put on it saying NO ONIONS there was still onions!! When showed it still had onions she starts yelling to the back about if the steak was fresh and got an explanation from one cook that it broke in half, she then asked what they did after that.....no answer more of they just looked at each other trying to figure out the right answer. She shrugged it off as if it wasn't her problem and that we would have to deal with it. After eating the food that we could we went back up there to show her the original receipt of saying 2 with no onion and she even pointed out the special sticker also said the same, yet she did nothing to fix the situation with us until she got flustered enough and offered a refund. Why should we have to wait even longer on her to do her job in the first place then wait much longer just to get $5 back no thank you. You can keep the $5 for the bagel I will promise we will never be back to this location again! Every time I come to the location in Charleston Illinois my chicken tenders are under temp my fries are cold and nasty I live 30 seconds away from the McDonald’s and when I ask each and every time for my food to be fresh and then I get home and it’s not there’s a real problem I’m in the drive-through right now waiting on food that I asked three times to be fresh I tasted it handed it back to the manager and said this is not fresh the fries are cold I can bet that my tenders without even touching them were probably under temp and I told her I don’t feel like getting sick And then I wanted it all remade she got snide with me and said well I can remake it but it’s going to be 8 to 10 minutes OK and remake the food so I know that me and my family are not getting ill I’ve worked in the fast food industry for 15 years I only have this problem with the fast food restaurants of Charleston Illinois it’s a little sad and disconcerting to be honest I’m surprised at the franchise owners who are well-versed in this And have not done so if you want a bad experience cold and nasty food and customer service team who doesn’t care about you and your family or good safety practices in a restaurant by all means come to the Mcdonals on Lincoln Road in...

Worst experience of my life. Used the app like I always do for a deal, charged me full price after scanning my bad for still?? Not an app malfunction, manager claimed I put credit card in too fast and once transaction was closed she said there’s nothing she could do. Kinda upsetting but it’s not her fault. Anyways, manager was rude and unprofessional about the whole ordeal. I wanted to ask her another question and she just walked away after I was wondering if I can still keep the coupon on my phone, I asked her to come back and she ignored me. 2 ladies who worked there but weren’t on the clock were inside eating and told me she’s a terrible manager and her names “Hailey” can’t wait to contact corporate about this one. Will never eat at this location again. It’s just very sad, I am a McDonald’s stock shareholder, I am there all the time ordering breakfast and drinking their coffee and to be treated in such a way by Hailey. Once the manager finally asked was I there for a door dash and discovered my order was never placed. He asked did I want a refund . I’ve already waited 20 minutes for the food why would I like a refund ? Thankfully he made the order in less than 2 minutes. If you plan to hire high school students, train them, so that customers do not have to experience this

This is not acceptable for a McDonald's. I paid almost $46.00 for the food, which is not cheap, and my family has felt sick since we ate at the Charleston location around 4:10 pm. I have included pictures of the food for reference.

Instead of your cashier checking, she proceeded to act as if she was learning the frappe machine. She could have asked after 5, 10, or even 15 minutes about my order but just proceeded to look over scared as if i has said anything. Once the manager finally asked was I there for a door dash and discovered my order was never placed. He asked did I want a refund . I’ve already waited 20 minutes for the food why would I like a refund ? Thankfully he made the order in less than 2 minutes. If you plan to hire high school students, train them, so that customers do not have to experience this

I'm really disappointed with the experience my family had at your Charleston location. We had a terrible experience during move-in day for EIU. The food we received from McDonald's was inedible, and when I complained and returned the food, the replacement was just as bad. The two ten-piece nuggets and my daughter's crispy chicken sandwich were dark and rubbery, and the management explained that the issue was due to the need for an oil change. This is not acceptable for a McDonald's. I paid almost $46.00 for the food, which is not cheap, and my family has felt sick since we ate at the Charleston location around 4:10 pm.
