My waiter Megan was horrible and rude took forever to come back with order and drinks Garland when she came with my oysters On the Half-Shell she brought vinegar instead of oil 😑 mind you it was not that pack she didn't provide good knowledge of what was being sold but she didn't know that that they were ordering new food due to the covid-19 and they were just opening back up I said that to say this I had a problem with my muscles I eat about three or four and had my boyfriend try them as well they were way over cookedso once I told her that she still didn't make anything right or try to accommodate us in any way she really got rude at that point 😡 so whenever I could catch another serverI would have to ask them to check on whatever I asked her to bring Corey was awesome okay so getting ready to close I could hear her in another server talkin about my bill when she brought the bill we checked it over so I asked her did you guys do anything about the muscles she said no cause they were half eating I was like wow and proceeded to ask her about the yellow rice that came with my red snapper it was hard maybe 10 minutes before she harshly put the check on the table with the pen and walked off abruptly as doing so d the pen fell to the ground so we sat there for a minute to see if she was going to come back and pick it up she did not so I had to go in the inside and get the manager, I was trying to hold my peace but that took the...
Read moreOur party of 3 came in on a Sunday with a reservation for 8 PM. Since we were only visiting for a long weekend, our quest was to try as many Charleston foods as we could and this spot happened to have the Lowcountry Boil. We ordered that to share but it was pretty underwhelming. We didn't think it would be a lot of seafood and we just wanted to try it - but this plate is probably meant for one person as a full meal. But I'm also kind of glad there wasn't more because the sauce was really salty. We also ordered some raw clams, which were fine - nothing to write home about. The best part of the meal was actually the shrimp roll, surprisingly - which none of us expected at all. This comes with a side of cole slaw, and I always appreciate a good side of slaw.
Our waiter was probably one of the unfriendliest people we met in our entire time in Charleston. He did not look happy to be there. Maybe because we came in close to closing time, which is 9 PM? But we were in and out before then because we already came to the restaurant knowing what we'd be ordering.
Overall, the experience was pretty meh. Yes, the shrimp roll was good but I don't think it's something you need to specifically seek this place out for. If you're looking for the lowcountry boil, I'm sure there are tons of better seafood...
Read moreExcellent experience all the way around! From the atmosphere to the food and to the service! We happened upon this restaurant and thought "let's give it a try". We had plans to go to another restaurant but so glad we chose here. Let me start by saying we are giving the BEST WAITER AWARD to Cory. Wonderful server! Went the extra mile on everything he did. Friendly and informative and efficient. Had lots of recommendations and even helped my date with his whole stuffed Grouper and how to work around the bones. Even took the time to write down a recipe with us for this meal as it was so delish! I highly recommend asking for Cory when you visit. You will not be disappointed! We started out with fresh, steamed oysters and then got the Mac and Lobster macaroni and cheese as an appetizer. There was plenty of lobster in this dish. Nice, big claws and not cut up mini pieces! Then it was on to lunch. I ordered the fried oysters, brussel sprouts and fried okra. All were perfect! My date's order of stuffed whole grouper was a definte "step above". It was delicious, moist and cooked to perfection and stuffed with slices of citrus and rosemary! It was a perfect ending to a wonderful weekend in Charleston! We will be back to...
