NEVER GOT OUR FOOD and the server was so unprofessional. We had a 7PM reservation, ordered drinks and it took a while just to get a few glasses of wine. When the wine came, we ordered our food....by 9PM we still did not have our food (mostly pasta dishes). Our server only came back once to check on us after bringing the drinks and made a snarky remark about how we "would be better with food, but how else are we doing" and did not offer any explanation or apology for the wait on the food. She did not come back after that and we had to finally flag her down close to 9PM to ask what was going on with the food. She thought the kitchen was backed up and went to ask them how much longer our order would be. It took her a while to even make it back to our table just to tell us the kitchen is backed up and we would not be getting our food "anytime soon"....it was 9PM, we had placed our order over an hour ago, and still would not be getting it "anytime soon". She offered us a free round of drinks then, but by this time it was so late, we were starving and had already had a drink on empty stomachs and had to drive home. She never apologized for the wait on the food until we directly asked her about it at the end, there was absolutely no offer to bring bread to the table or a free appetizer or anything while we waited. The manager NEVER came around to address the issue or apologize for the situation, we did not see a manager anywhere. Additionally, our server was handling our glasses from the top down (dirty hands where our lips go), put my friend's drink down so hard the wine just about sloshed out of the glass, and she had her t-shirt rolled up into her bra to make it a crop top.....not what we want to be experiencing at a winery restaurant. If we wanted that kind of "don't give a sh*t" atmosphere/service, we would have gone somewhere else. We WOULD...
Read moreMy wife, my friends and I (all local) have read the reviews about Well Hung and were excited about trying it for brunch today. Sadly, we were unimpressed, and we're hoping that it was simply an off day given past reviews. The staff was very nice and our server was great, but when we walked in the door, we were met with a musty smell that was off-putting. My wife got the 'date night' white wine flight and thought that it was ok but she prefers buttery Chardonnays and in their defense, their whites are crisp, aged in stainless, and my wife was warned. I got the Crimson flight of reds and I thought that they were tasty! 2 members of our party ordered French toast, I ordered the burger which gets great reviews, and my wife ordered the chicken and waffles. The French toast descriptions sounded delicious, but my friends reported that the French toast was just ok. My burger was good, but given the list of ingredients and the fact that it had waffles as a bun, I expected it to be amazing. There was what I think was a cheese sauce on it that didn't have much flavor, but had a good patty, egg, and onions on it. There are so many excellent burgers in Charleston that you really have to bring your A-game and this was not it. That said, it was good and I cleaned my plate. I was so excited about my wife's chicken and waffles, but sadly, the waffles were mealy - odd texture - and the chicken seemed to be dusted in a fine breading and fried. Craving a crispy piece of fried chicken that would hold some syrup, but that wasn't the case today. Again, we hope this was an off day, but I don't think that...
Read moreAttention: This is probably my favorite review of my life!
I want you to pretend that you go on a trip and you meet the perfect person who you know you will be happy with the rest of your life, you know they are your soulmate and they are perfect…you spend the best night together and you are 100% happy…and then you realize that they live thousands of miles away and YOU ARE NEVER GOING TO SEE THEM AGAIN! 😭
That’s how I felt about this food! 🤬
The Flight of Filet Mignon might be the best dish I HAVE EVER TASTED IN MY LIFE.
If people have a “soulmate food” I have absolutely found mine!
The surf and turf (or as I like to call it the flight of filet mignon)
1st flight: 3oz filet mignon with crispy onion straws
2nd flight: 3oz filet mignon with shrimp in garlic butter cream sauce
3rd flight: 3oz filet mignon with crab meat and bearnaise sauce
They were all served over redskin garlic mashed potatoes and charred veggie skewers 😩 every bite was witchcraft and heaven combined!
I have never been so mad about finding the perfect restaurant food in my life, and knowing I will probably never eat it again. 😭 I will mourn this food for the rest of my life.
If I’m ever on death row, I want this for my last meal!
Oh yeah, my husband got some shrimp and grits which he also loved but he’s not ready to make a commitment…and that’s okay! They remain “just friends.”
Our server Gabriel was phenomenal and should be serving food to Leo and Kate, or to someone uppity in the White House. And the bartender Doug should be serving shots off of Gal Gadot or someone equally hot! They made our...
