Penn station has always been a favorite, but I hadn't been to one in a couple years. This location was clean, quick, and friendly. As soon as one of the employees was finished with their order and didn't have someone else to wait on, they were sweeping the store or replacing chairs, etc. The sandwich I got (Chicken Cordon Bleu) was well made, the chicken was perfectly cooked and juicy, and the flavor was great. The fries, as always, were fresh and excellent, perfectly crispy and salted just right.
My only complaint is that the sandwiches seem to have gotten much, much smaller since the last time I had eaten at a Penn Station. I got my order to go, and we were very surprised when we pulled our sandwiches out of the bag. At first we thought that we had mistakenly gotten wraps instead, but sadly, no. The sandwiches are just that much smaller. I know that this is pretty much definitely a corporate decision and not the fault of this location, but it was still disappointing.
Overall a good experience at this location, just disappointing that Penn Station has downsized their sandwiches so much while retaining the premium pricing. This would be a 5 star...
Read moreWe have been here twice. First time experience was horrible (about a month ago) due to an employee and how he treats his customers. Tomorrow we are leaving the area and wanted to have dinner here before we left the area. My husband and I along with another family (who we do not know) walked in the door at the same time. We all stood there as they were trying to figure out what they wanted to order. Two employees were working. The guy (who was as rude as can be from the last time) was cleaning the grill. Never said a word to us. Finally he says " go to the other register " (now mind you the sign above him says order here) we all go down to the far register. And she starts saying he told you earlier to come down here. We all said no he didn't. She argued with us. Needless to say they lost 5 orders tonight as we ALL walked out. The other couple said they couldn't believe how rude they were and how we were treated. What's sad is it's not the first time. If managment reads this you might want to train your employees to treat customers a bit better. And by the way we have been to multiple penn stations across the country and never been...
Read moreI didn't eat here recently, just passed by it on my way to get a haircut.
I have eaten there though and it's alright, don't believe the signage that their Philly subs are award willing. steak escape Philly subs, blow them away imo. I think it's the vinegar sauce I'm not into.
I normally have to order a dagwood and build my own sub to feel satisfied eating here, but that's fine, I've got my order down pat. I love that their a sub shop that offers fries, too many don't and won't go to them unless someone else is buying. but, their fries can really disappoint too, there's been times I don't think I had a single fry longer than an inch and that's such a let down, like you got an order of crumbs instead.
I'd recommend Penn Station for their online subscription, they're constantly sending out some decent offers. plus, their lemonade is...
