Super Weenie — Restaurant in Charleston

My sister and I had plans to spend the day downtown (completely forgetting about the Regatta). When it was time to grab food, we checked out the vendors and weren't particularly impressed with the selection or the price.

Neither of us have had super weenie before and since it was close to where we were parked, we chose to go in.

First of all, the atmosphere is SO CUTE and we were greeted by friendly faces that explained the menu. Think, Hillbilly Hotdogs creativity but without the wait (no shade, but it is what it is). I got the Old World with a Cheddar Brat and she got the Old World Dog and the WV Curry dog at the recommendation of the person taking our order. I especially like the added touch of the tide pens for sale and the various assortment of tums, etc. (GENIUS).

The service was again, super friendly and very quick. The price was right too. I'm sure each of us would have easily paid our combined total for just one meal at one of the vendors at the Regatta.

Both of our meals were fantastic. Her WV Curry Dog ended up being my favorite so I will be back for...

This is the best place for hot dogs in Charleston, WV. They have the best WV dog I have tasted in years. They also have quite a selection of styles and ingredients. The sauces and toppings and made fresh and boy you can taste the difference. They use all beef wieners which totally enhances the hot dog experience. Their relish is amazing. And if you like spicy there is plenty for you as well.

The owners and the staff are great and super friendly. The dogs are a little more expensive than most but the fresh ingredients and the all beef wieners make up for that. I am currently eating my way through their menu. Once I have done that I will create my own dog. I love a challenge.

It is not a sit down restaurant but there are two nice benches for sitting while you wait and enough room for wheelchairs.

Now folks... When I say this is THE weenie place...

I got a Super Weenie with Nacho Cheese. This is my first time here, and so I went with one if the employees suggestions, and went there because my co-worker is a fan of theirs.

And Oh. My. Goodness.

I didn't think I could fall in love with a damn hot dog.

But I FREAKING DID

That was the best dang weenie in my life. THE CURRY MUSTARD!!!! IM GONNA NEED A WHOLE BOTTLE OF IT.

Hot dog cooked to perfection. Juicy with that perfect outer skin. Usually dried onions I'm picky with, these ones were perfect

And the price?? Pretty good, honestly. These hot dogs are made with love and you can taste it.

From now on, I think this is going to be my go-to lunch place. It's affordable, delish, and the place is cute as can be.
