While the food is always absolutely delicious, it is a bit pricey. The menu has quite an assortment and something for stone and the kids menu is great! We ate here 6 weeks in a row before feeling unwelcome by the cashiers/hostesses. We would come after the library kids story time with the toddlers in strollers. Apparently, to come into this establishment with strollers is a horrible inconvenience despite people walking with them all over downtown. Because we were 2 adults needing 2 high chairs it seemed difficult to seat us in a location that allowed people to work around us. I will add, however, there were several servers that were absolutely wonderful, kind and very accommodating! They gave us recommendations and brought the kids meals out early to allow them to start eating and always complimented their behavior. Ultimately, we started walking a little further and looking at other dining options because of the way we felt the hostesses and cashiers were treating us. We learned Charleston does have other and more affordable dining options that are...
Read moreINCONSIDERATE AND ZERO KNOWLEDGE OF MENU!! The first thing we told our waitress was that we absolutely can’t eat any meat due to religious reasons, she gave us a few options and me and my wife confirmed at least 3 times that there was no meat in what we ordered, the waitress confirmed that there was none and we ordered 2 dishes and asked the waitress to confirm from the chef about no meat. She brought our food and I thought something looked like meat in there after I took a bite already and asked the waitress what it was, she said it looks like “chillies”, I asked her to go and confirm from chef and then she finally said “oh yeah it’s meat, sorry about that”. We left the restaurant immediately, I didn’t want to stay in a place that has no regard for someone’s beliefs and religious restrictions. This was my first and last time in this place, I’m gonna make sure to ask my other friends with religious restrictions to be very careful at this place since they take things like this very casually. Disappointed to the max!! Ruined my day!!...

That's exactly the vibe I'm getting from the servers both in their "daddy knows best" menu suggestions and their New Balance™ themed work uniforms. On a regular week day, you'll be seated immediately and given some surprisingly good coffee. The menu ranges from greasy spoon favorites like biscuits and gravy or skillet hash all the way to hipster pseudoscience like quinoa medley and kale themed health infusions. I've never been disappointed by either. The service is fast and friendly and food is surprisingly good.
On a recent visit, the waitress dropped one my poached eggs on the table, gingerly picked it up bare handed, and made lengthy awkward eye contact with me while apologizing. She could have just plopped it on my English muffin and I would have eaten it. However, the replacement was delicious.
I'll...
