There’s nothing like a winter day in downtown Charleston,WV & getting a bag of fresh roasted peanuts salted just right & warm. If you don’t want the whole peanut, get some peanut pieces. They also have caramel corn, those big willy wonka lollipops, Spanish mix, pistachios, cashews & everything peanut related. They also have a nice selection of pop. The Peanut Shoppe is special. Stepping into it's door is a time capsule to a simpler day. The decorations, the cramped corridor, the smell, and the history all make the place what it is. It'd be nothing other than a museum without the goods they sell: a delicious assortment of nuts, candy, popcorn. The advertising for the place is the smell that draws you in before you even get to the door. I always come here when I want to give a gift to the hardworking men and women in the city of Charleston when they help me out in a major way.
