After checking in at Hampton Inn & Suites Charlotte Arrowood Road, we heard about the fried chicken and biscuits of Bojangles over the radio. That was where we went for dinner this evening…
Upon entering into the Bojangles near where we stayed at Hampton Inn & Suites Charlotte Arrowood Road, we found the place to be very clean and nicely maintained. Then, we overheard the supervisor scolding 2 staff (likely to be temp staff as they looked quite young), asking them what they could do with their free time instead of chatting and playing with their phones. Strict management does have its results? 😅
Since we were here for the chicken and biscuits, we ordered the 3 piece dinner fix that came with biscuits as well as 2 sides. We chose the dirty rice as well as mac and cheese for the sides. The mains came up to about $9.5USD. We added a large drink to try out the Legendary Iced Tea at $2.70USD…
First off, EVERYTHING WAS SALTY! But, we kinda enjoyed the dirty rice and the chicken was tender and still juicy within. The main star of the evening for us, though, was not the fried chicken nor the biscuit but actually, the Legendary Iced Tea. It was a sweet tea and we felt that comforting feeling as we sipped on it (sometimes gulped) to get through the rather salty meal. Love it. No wonder they are confident enough to name it “Legendary”.

I feel like I became a loyal customer in the past 2 months. I am a Truck Driver and the company drop yard is not far from the Boangles establishment. I became cool with some of the staff members, some already know my order before I order.🤣
But this Tuesday night 7/8/25
I got to the store at 8:47, I waited patiently without being acknowledged… I then seen a staff member that I promised a tip for excellent service 8:58. So I went to my car to crab 10 dollars. Upon my return a young dread head gentleman was locking the doors. I explained to him that I just left out to grab some cash. He said if I hadn’t ordered already that it would be to late… I thought everyone would have seen that I just stepped out… he then explained the situation with whom I think was the manager on duty.
Short,Stocky, colorful hair, Darker Complexion African American Female. Rudely said that they were closed and wasn’t taken anymore orders,
But the way it was handled felt dismissive and a bit hurtful. I understand I walked out during closing time ( I get it) I was just trying to do something kind and respectful … it just made the whole experience leave a bad taste...
Read moreFirst off when my girls and I walked in we seen the lady come from behind the counter with napkins no one greeted us as we stood there waiting on her to fill the napkin holders. Second I ordered two family meals? Please bojangles let me know if I was wrong for asking for condiments to accommodate my family! (Plates, ice cups,,hot sauce) I watched the manger stand behind the hot bar where the food was being cook and not offer the lady no help one lady came in behind me and she was just standing there I had to ask the lady have she ordered. That through me for a loop, then I know I had order one gallon of sweet tea and a gallon of pink lemonade I watched the employee make tea and forget about my pink lemonade then her and the manger act as if they did me a favor. Once I corrected her as she tried to cut me off to let her know I asked for pink lemonade. Their response was”we not doing that anymore” I guess referring to my condiments I ask for for my two family meals. Short staff, rude no communication customer service, long wait the food was fresh I must admit but the service was just a little frustrating and disturbing. Hope everyone have a better day...
