Showmars Arrowood — Restaurant in Charlotte

I've been coming to this Showmars for years, and the food is consistently really good, fast and the staff always amazing. I wouldn't not recommend this place.

My last order though, placed online, I had a strange interaction with a long time staff member. I ordered extra onions and peppers on a Santorini Chicken Pita, which is a regular order for a few years, and was informed next time I would be charged extra ($1.49 I think she said). She said this has always been the case and she wasn't sure what others may or may not be doing.

I was told the app had no way to charge for this and I would be charged in store. I've ordered extra on pitas and burgers even when placed in store and never an issue. I've also never been offered money back when I ask for no tomatoes on something. Maybe I should ask for a discount on the next burger i order?

I'm already spending $14 for a Chicken Pita and fries (no drink), and the app certainly has the ability to charge for cheese, just seems weird.

I feel trivial and petty, but debating on if I go back, or if I just don't order my "usual" anymore. Not sure.

Figure out your app or online ordering or something, and avoid such an uncomfortable in person...

I’m very disappointed in Showmars. I go here ( to this location ) quite a bit and the customer service has gone downhill. I arrived and I wasn’t greeted with an “hello” or “how can I help you” (mind you, this was an African American girl with braids who was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL )… Anyways, I stated my name and she proceeded to pour my lemonade. After pouring my lemonade , she put my lemonade on the top of the fountain drinks and said “lemonade”… I reached up and grabbed my lemonade from where it was sitting on top of the fountain drinks . Lastly, she gave me my food without making sure I had it all the way. If anything, this was the worst customer service received on today. I’m not sure what’s going on , but the other cashiers are more nicer than this lady. I will not be returning as well - thank you for the terrible...

On 02/03/2024 at 12 noon I realized I will NEVER come back to this particular Showmars! A tip for take out???? If I sat down COOL I never mind paying tip and I tip GOOD for good service, but not for takeout??! And its on the credit card machine, that I couldn't get refunded. On Top of that I ordered an old fashion pita burger that comes with chili. I'm like for $18 (including a tip thats shouldn't be asked for on take out) you can put more than a teaspoon of Chilli on the damn thing! I mean "old fashion" is centered around the chilli!!!! Yes!!! I was HOT. Its principle, I work hard for my money and regardless the cost I want my money worth! NEVER AGAIN! I've been going to Shomars over 25 years and they are slowly going down hill customer service, food and all. I may NEVER come back to...
