Now I’m aware that this is Waffle House and my expectations are set accordingly. This time the place was dead (~1pm 12/27/19) and all we saw when we walked in were the cook and the waitress. The waitress took our order immediately but had difficulty repeating the order as my friend and I were saying them. The cook said he understood everything but nothing was written down and I was very unsure they had understood each other 100%. I add, after the waitress asks “anything else?” “Yes ma’am, would y’all mind cooking the hasbrowns a little crispier than normal?” The cook goes “Oh yeah, I gotchu. And don’t forget today is tip your cook day!” He cracks with a smile we laughed and I said “I hear you brother”. My friend was served first with one piece of cheese on his covered triple hash brown. Also was short his order of bacon. Next I was served with 3 pieces of cheese on my hasbrown (that was ordered without cheese) and the browns were hot but not very thoroughly cooked(clumpy and white) as I had ordered. They said they would have a new one made no cheese and my friend took mine with cheese to eat while I waited for my order to be remade. They present me with another plate of food, more closely resembling what I ordered, just no bacon. She said the bacon is cooking right now. I said okay thank you but I ordered the bowl, if y’all wouldn’t mind cutting the bacon up on top please. They take the plate back for a moment and it comes back with bacon exactly as ordered( the hashbrowns are still not cooked any more than before, clumpy white on the inside) but I bite my tongue because of how hungry I am at this point and dig in. After eating for a minute or two I uncover a rogue pickle that was hidden under the middle of the pile of hashbrowns. I remove it and shortly thereafter I find 3 more pickle slices in my hashbrowns. The cook is nowhere in sight at this point and the waitress apologizes sincerely and says she’ll make another one. (You can see green hashbrowns from the pickle juice which tastes quite off) she cooks another plate for me to take home and we leave her a tip for trying to make it right. The cook,...
Read moreIt was a waffle house, so What can one say🤷🏽♀️? I don't usually eat there, but family was visiting, and THEY wanted WH specifically. Plus, my daughter had to catch her flight ✈️ soon⏳. We had just left a waffle house that had standing room only when we drove up, so we left. We stopped at Two other restaurants (Metro diner and IHOP) that had long waits, & we left...⏳ It was a Sunday morning...😳. We ended up at This Arrowood Waffle House, which was not crowded, so hey 🤷🏽♀️. There were two empty booths when we entered, but they were both filled with dishes from whoever left. No one on staff said a word to us, not hello, not welcome to Waffle House, not we'll be right with you, not goodbye, no Nuthin'! I probably would've left if I was by myself. It took about 10-15 mins for the tables to get busted and clean, & that's how long we stood waiting without a word. Btwn looking at those unclean table sitting there too long & no one saying anything, needless to say, I was getting a bit hot🔥, but I just kept quiet so as not to ruin family time together. Again, this was a waffle house, so🤷🏽♀️‼️ We sat as soon as a table was cleaned off. They brought my niece's order out wrong a few times. My son's order came out as the rest of us were finishing up, & he only had a breakfast biscuit👁️👁️🤦🏽♀️‼️ They did take it off the tab at least! I'm guessing this is why I don't frequent...
Read moreThis is utterly disgusting and ridiculous for this to be called the "Waffle House" Picture on the right is the 1st waffle brought out to me. After complaining they made another one and that one was burnt which is pictured on the left. The store Manager Timothy gave a piss poor excuse saying it was because of the new waffle maker that they have is the reason for this poor excuse of a waffle. I have been eating at Waffle House for almost 30 years and have NEVER received a waffle so despicable like this, Sometimes coming in just to get a waffle w/pecans.I've also worked at Waffle House and if you lift it before it's done or the batter is not made correctly or not timed perfectly this is the result! While the waiter Shanelle looked at me with disgust never showed any empathy bc I wanted a refund of my whole meal, which I shouldn't have had to ask for and still paid for the other meal while I just sat there and watched my party eat!! I sure wish I had an order to audit this location and the workers! Corporate/Franchise needs to be made aware of this mess! I would have given zero stars if I could have, bc of the audacity, mixed with no empathy, had to watch my party eat, and me having to go find food elsewhere. I will not be spending another dime with this establishment bc I work too hard for my money to be wasted and my time...
