Brewton's Cafe — Restaurant in Charlotte

I wanted to share my experience because I feel like a lot of these reviews are a little misleading, and I want to be real with you all. Based on the reviews, I was really looking forward to trying the pasta, but when I got there, they were sold out. So, I ended up ordering the honey hot and lemon pepper wings with French fries. Now, let me tell you, we ordered around 11 PM, and we didn’t get our food until about 12:30 AM. For 12 wings and fries, that’s a long wait. My boyfriend and I ended up watching almost an entire movie in the car while we waited.

When we finally got the food, the wings were piping hot, which I thought was great. I was like, "Okay, this is going to be good." But here's where things went downhill. We live only 11 minutes away, so we decided to say grace and eat our fries on the way home. But when I opened the fries, they weren’t hot at all, and honestly, they tasted like they’d been sitting around for a while, waiting for the wings to finish cooking. I’m almost certain that’s what happened. The fries were just... not fresh. I have to be honest, they were horrible. It completely took my experience from what could’ve been a 10/10 to a 6/10 real quick. We only had wings and fries, so the fries made up half of the meal, and they were just disgusting. No exaggeration, they were bad. You can trust this review; I’m not lying.

We paid over $4 for those fries, and after waiting over an hour for food, I expected them to not only be hot but actually good. Wouldn’t you? That was really disappointing.

As for the wings, let’s talk about the hot honey sauce—that was good. The wings themselves, though? I’d give them a 2/5. I’ve had better wings. When you’re charging $18 for a 12-piece, the taste should match that price, right? Now, I don’t mind paying for good food—my boyfriend and I are foodies, we love trying new places and eating good meals. But when you’re paying $28 for 12 wings, fries, and a lemonade, the quality needs to reflect the price. If this was a $10.99 combo, I probably wouldn’t even be writing a review. I would’ve just let it go and kept it moving. But when the fries are cold and the wings are bland, I felt like I had to be real and share my experience. It was just not worth the money.

Here’s the thing—I've seen a lot of TikTok reviews and other posts about how great this place is, but when I actually went, I felt like my boyfriend could’ve cooked the same thing at home, and it would've tasted way better. Plus, we would've had leftovers. But the lemonade? That was actually the best thing. 5/5 for the lemonade, no doubt. Also, the customer service and atmosphere were on point—5/5 there too. And parking? No complaints. It’s easy to find a spot, so I’ll give that a 1/1.

First I want to thank @DailySpecialCLT for posting another amazing place to visit at Brewton’s Cafe. The Food the food the food 😍😍😍😍😋🤤 sooooo delicious and flavorful I had the crab stuffed salmon over Alfredo 👌🏾 with a generous slice of strawberry cake 🥰🥰 and not to mention the drink 🥴🫠 strawberry lemonade. This is the type of comfort food I can eat over and over again. I enjoyed everything about this place! If you’re out looking for a late night meal this is a must. Bring a jacket because you will be waiting and it can get cold at night. The games are a nice touch to keep patrons engaged while waiting on the food! The set up and atmosphere was nice! The salmon pasta was sold out when we got there but the crab fries did not disappoint!! My friends had the chicken sandwich and we split entrees. There was so much food we had a pot luck!
