This restaurant I would seriously not recommend as me and my group had a terrible experience dining here.
To start, we asked to reserve a table but the person who was facilitating these requests was slightly rude and asked us about seating outside more than inside. Even though my group preferred to sit inside. We waited for about 25-30 minutes for a table as the person said and they did not take our name or number. After going back we were still met with a rude tone so we sat outside.
The place is sort of on the edge of the main area. It felt slightly nice, maybe that’s the only good thing. Later we received our server and we noticed that they were being a bit pushy. One of my friends ordered a drink and we made it clear the first time that the rest of us did not want drinks. They came back later and asked us about getting drinks even though we told them the first time. One of my friends noticed some servers looking at us from time to time which made them feel uncomfortable.
The food here is average, nothing too good or bad, but I’ve had better elsewhere. The people serving the food were nice and I don’t have any issues with them.
At the end we requested to get separate checks and once we received the checks the server serving us just waited for us to get out our cards and hand them the check/card item back which felt a bit uncomfortable as usually at restaurants they go and check on others then come back after a bit. Once we received the checks they gave it to us in a disorganized matter (one of our cards fell out, and a check/card item with cash was open so the items could fall out).
Overall I would not recommend this place if you are eating out with a group of friends. We all were overall dissatisfied with this place, their style, and...
Read moreToday is 20Jan2023. Here is a little gem whose name you have likely never heard and I am doing you a favor, if you like authentic Mexican Cuisine. We just stumbled upon it cruising through Ballantyne Village looking to grab a late lunch (margaritas) today. We plopped down at the bar, ordered our beverages the way we like them and got menus. What an UNEXPECTED surprise..... Candidly, we were like kids in a candy store.... all the polish of Cantina 1511 with an upgrade in the menu (not as many South American recipes) but greater variety (two types of Ceviche!). There were 7 entrees and apps I wanted to order. When the meals came, the ingredients were unusually fresh, the cooked items were steaming and the cold items were crunchy. (salsa's right on the money by the way) ......I could not understand how I had never heard of this tequileria .....well an interesting fellow behind the bar told me they've only been up and running for 90 days........my advice : if they can keep this up, you want to get there now because, I'm guessing, this place is going to be...
Read moreI usually love this place and was so disappointed the last visit. I made a reservation for 6:45 to celebrate my best friends birthday. We got stuck in traffic and arrived 6 minutes late and were told that there was no table for us and they thought we weren’t coming? So we crammed into a three person booth and I had to sit on half a seat. I mentioned in my reservation that we were celebrating a birthday and we also told our server separately. I have celebrated my own birthday here before and was sang to and got a flight of tequila, none of that happened. There were several other parties celebrating birthdays that got sang to. We mentioned to our server after we got the checks that it was her birthday and he brought a few shots on a plate. I’m just very disappointed in how this was handled. The hostess even said she would move us to another table once one was free since we were crammed in a small one and that never happened. I used to love this place but unfortunately I don’t think I’ll ever be back. Don’t take reservations if you’re not going to...
