Visited location 17 February 2024 Review posted on 19 February 2024 I learned that this is a new restaurant and with this being my first-time experience with Eggspectation. I'm blown away at how AMAZING the dishes are‼️ The atmosphere is modern and warm. The service is A1‼️ I've only been there for breakfast, however, I'd love to go there for dinner. From my understanding, Saturday mornings are their busiest time. Throughout the week, business is slower. Allie suggested that I order "The Heavenly Crepe" and I was NOT disappointed😇‼️ My dish had chicken, spinach, mushroom, and a fancy cheese sauce (I can't remember the name of the cheese sauce lol), wrapped in a crepe, that came with a side salad and a DELICIOUS vinaigrette that I wanted on the side, and I ordered cheese grits as a side with their spiked peach mimosa. I was practically speechless with all of the breakfast dishes they had there. They gave us a peak of the dinner menu and I'm excited to go there for dinner in the, hopefully, very near future. We had a window seat and as cold and windy as it was outside, the insulated windows were a life saver. Let me tell y'all something...I DIDN'T NEED TO USE ANY SALT AND PEPPER‼️ The salt and pepper grinders they had were more like decorations to me #GOALS lol. That's how you KNOW the dish is AWESOME‼️💯💯 So .. what I do to ensure I'm eating an amazing dish is eat it cold. I took half of it home and ate it for my lunch at work. COMPLIMENTS TO THE CHEF‼️ My partner and I were confused about receiving a side salad with his omelette. When we both asked for the vinaigrette on the side, it wasn't explained that he wasn't going to get a side salad with his omelette prior to receiving his dish. He loves salads. I offered my salad to him but he realized the dish was already so big that he wouldn't be able to get around to the salad, he says. (Update 24 February 2024: My partner and I'd realized the Frittata and crêpes are served with salad. The omelettes are served with layonnaise cut potatoes lol so we'd misread the menu lol. However, the staff were good sports about clarifying that they're willing to substitute the layonnaise cut potatoes for salad at our wish 🥰) Our server Tonya was super sweet, tho. I hope that everyone visiting this restaurant has as good of an experience as we did and hopefully better. The staff look clean, energetic, nice looking, and welcoming. They're helpful and accommodating. Their suggestions are also important and spot on. The chefs TRULY put skill, and love into their dishes‼️❤️ I feel like I'd always want to visit wherever they're cooking. I was reminded to visit this location by Maria. And O, HOW MUCH I APPRECIATE MARIA‼️ ONLY THE BEST‼️💯💯 When I come back I'd LOVE to try the lemon blueberry pancakes 🤤, shrimp and grits, shrimp and crab omelette, and if they can substitute the pork bacon for turkey bacon, then I'd have more options, for sure.
UPDATE: 22 and 24 February 2024 On 22 February, I met Steve. An absolute gentleman. Steve is clean cut, professional, and welcoming. Steve lowered the blinds a bit to prevent the guests from being blinded by the sun's rays. I absolutely appreciate the greeting. I'm excited to experience his ownership style, because I'm impressed. BTW, I tried the LEMON BLUEBERRY PANCAKES🤯🤤‼️ The pancakes were SOO LIGHT and FLUFFY and were weighed down with healthy 🍋lemon cottage cheese that was SOO CREAMY and the 💙blueberries, which were SOO JUICY (☝🏽😊 hold on I'm experiencing slight nostalgia 🥰) I added scrambled eggs and cheesy grits on the side with a spiked 🍓strawberry mimosa🍹 chef's kiss COMPLIMENTS TO THE CHEFS AGAIN‼️ I shared my dish on my social media accounts (FB and IG) On 24 February my partner and I went again‼️This time I had the Eggstravaganza‼️ This dish had two slices of homemade French Toast, I preferenced scrambled eggs, layonnaise cut potatoes (SO GOOD BTW), and I substituted the bacon for turkey sausage #IMPRESSED. The entire dish was nostalgic and reminded me of my late mother's cooking. And a delicious...

I ordered an iced mocha, but after one sip, I didn’t go back for more. It lacked mocha flavor and needed more milk and chocolate syrup to balance it out. It sat untouched for the rest of the meal.
For food, I went with the Western Omelette and Lyonnaise-style potatoes. Both were flavorless. I had to add salt—which I almost never do when something’s properly seasoned. I left half the omelette and most of the potatoes on the plate.(see photo)
What really stuck with me was the service. My waitress cleared the plate without asking why I didn’t finish or if anything was wrong, even after I declined a to-go box. The plate, with all that food still on it, went straight to the trash.
It’s disappointing. My first visit felt promising, but this time around, it just missed. Hopefully it was a one-off, but today didn’t live up to the name. I got to have a sneak peek before the opening day, Eggspectation was a culinary cannonball into the brunch pool! This place isn’t just about eggs; it's a parade of modern American eats that’ll make your taste buds do the cha-cha.
Imagine a decor that screams 'industrial chic meets egg-lover's paradise'. The chairs are so comfy, you'll feel like you're sitting on a cloud made by chickens. The tables are so spacious, you could land a small egg-copter on them. And the booths? They're like first-class seats on the Breakfast Express.
The bar is where the magic happens – a place where cocktails are conjured up like potions and the mimosa flight is basically a brunch-themed rocket to the moon. The TVs are there, but let’s be honest, they're just the side dish to the main course of chit-chat and clinking glasses.
Now, the tunes: If Eggspectation’s playlist was a pancake, it’d be flipping fantastic, setting the mood with hits like Lauv's "Love U Like That." Greeted by a hostess with a smile brighter than a freshly polished egg, I was soon in the capable hands of Logan, my waiter, who knew the menu better than a hen knows her eggs.
Enter Corporate Chef Mark from Baltimore, the egg-whisperer himself, who was in town to train the kitchen staff. I half expected him to whip out a cape – his passion for the menu was that superhero-level.
I dove into the Shrimp and Crab Omelette like it was a culinary treasure chest – $30 worth of fluffy eggs, hidden shrimp and crab gems, and a pesto that was basically the crown jewel. The fennel, though? Let's just say it's the best game of hide and seek I've ever played with a vegetable. And those Lyonnaise-style potatoes? If they were a movie, they'd be a blockbuster hit.
A little drama unfolded with my iced mocha – initially, it came out hotter than a summer in the henhouse. But once corrected, it was the coffee equivalent of a sweet, creamy hug.
In short, Eggspectation is more than a restaurant; it's a brunch-themed amusement park for your mouth. I'm already planning my next trip – I've got my eye on the rest of that menu, and I'm coming with...
Read moreWhile in town for a quick trip my sister and I decided to grab brunch from this spot !
We arrived around 9:30am. The shopping plaza they are located in was hosting a craft show, so I can see how occasionally there may be issues with parking. We arrived a few minutes prior to them placing up barricades and were able to score a parking spot at the perimeter of the shopping plaza.
When we walked in the host immediately greeted us with a smile and graciously assisted us with fondling a seat. The wait staff came over within minutes of us being seated. She also had a pleasant demeanor. We started off ordering waters . When she returned with waters we placed both our drink and food orders. I ordered a cappuccino with almond milk and my sister ordered a latte and requested pumpkin syrup. For our food order: I had the shrimp and crab omelette, my sister had the veggie omlette, and we ordered a side order of the almond crunch French toast to share.
The drinks came out first, but I was surprised by how quickly the food order arrived. The omelette is served with a small side salad and potatoes. The only thing I am sure that was cooked to order was the omelette- and as quickly as it arrived- I am not so certain it was made to order.
The coffee was really good. I am a true coffee drinker and appreciate the taste of coffee. I would love to know what beans they use for their coffee drinks - so good.
The omelette had great flavor. The potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside . The salad was simple- but fresh ! I would say that you can taste that they use quality ingredients and fresh ingredients- which I am a fan of! The side French toast was heavenly ! The almonds added a good crunch to the
Overall I would highly recommend this spot! Everything gets a check from me- ambience , service and food ! If you have an opportunity to patronize this spot I can assure you that you will not be...
