Crispy Banh Mi — Restaurant in Charlotte

Had the grilled pork banh mi several times. Pork is very nice and flavorful, baguette is one of the better ones so far. However, food does come with missing items, not as described on website menu.

For the bánh mì, their site says “ All banh mi come with carrots, daikon, cucumbers, cilantro and jalapeno peppers.” I have never seen jalapeño peppers in my order. Honestly, not a huge problem, but it does take away from the bánh mì experience in my opinion. Way too much pickled carrots and daikon and they’re thick cut too.

For the summer rolls, their website states “Boiled shrimp & pork wrapped in clear rice paper with lettuce, cilantro, mint and noodles. They are served at room temperature and are not deep fried. Served with our peanut sauce.” I ordered the rolls and they literally came with just lettuce, 2 mint leaves, shrimps, and noodles….NO pork. Also it was poorly wrapped. Rice paper was extremely loose and all the stuff (it was filled with mostly lettuce) fell all over the place. $6 for mostly lettuce and missing a protein is insane. Peanut sauce is good.

If you order via UberEats, it’s unclear what you’re going to get. So you do have to rely on their website’s menu, but it’s definitely inaccurate. I would like to know exactly what I’m going to get and get exactly what I was told I would get.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this place deserves one. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and made fast. I usually order the chicken bánh mì or the chicken and noodles, and both are consistently delicious and packed with protein.

I travel often for work, so finding a spot that’s quick and reliable means a lot. The service here is always friendly and efficient, which makes it easy to stop in even on a busy day. I also work out at the LA Fitness a mile up the road, and this has become my go to spot after the gym. It’s affordable, satisfying, and the perfect post workout meal.

The fries were overcooked, and there were an excessive amount of carrots. I'm consistently disappointed with the quality of the food here the last few times ordering.

While I sympathize with the challenges of last-minute orders, (an hour before close is not last minute.) The attitude from the staff is unwarranted, I get it you want to go home, so do I, with the sandwhich that I preordered.
