Decided on a weeknight picnic in the park as I have been interested to see this new recreation area in the heart of Ballantyne. Park in the hotel parking and access the park from either end of the hotel. No need to go through the hotel. Part of the Ballantyne Reimagined Project, this is a beautiful open park with several separate areas for seating, lounging and playing. There is an open grassy area where a couple of kids were practicing lacrosse. We sat on the Adirondack chairs overlooking the pond with fountains to eat. A short walk took us past the unusually creative children’s play area and in the future one will be able to access the new entertainment amphitheater by walking under the bridge currently under construction. Parking is located at the Ballantyne hotel, entrances are at the ends of the hotel. No need to enter the hotel to gain access. There’s no signage for the park entrances.
My family and I enjoyed walking around and checking out the space. Kids loved climbing everything. Looks like there will be miles of trails and a connection to the greenway.
It was nice to see the construction progress in the distance. We are eagerly awaiting completion. Can’t wait to enjoy this park for...
