OMGEEE 😩…so I decided to give them another try after my last bad visit because I used to love their food. I called in a pickup order of a Lemon Chicken entree which I’ve had before. The girl who answered told me it comes with Quinoa and Broccoli then asked if that was okay. I asked her to please substitute the Quinoa for Sweet Potato Casserole. I went to pick it up and when I got home I had Lemon Chicken with Broccoli and NO Sweet Potatoes. It was too far to drive back so that was that. The Lemon Chicken was sooooo lemony I could only eat some of it…plus it had some kind of weird mushy coating on it. It was terrible. I wish the last cook was still there because nothing tastes the same anymore and I miss all the good things I used to get 😔. I usually don’t give second chances but I was hoping my last bad visit was a one-off but it wasn’t. I’m done giving chances to them unless they can get that other cook back which I doubt so…farewell Blackfinn 😠😤…

I called in a order for Pan Roasted Chicken with Green Beans and asked to substitute the Quinoa for Garlic Roasted Potatoes. When I got home the Quinoa was still there but NO Green Beans. How hard was it to get that simple order right. I’ve gotten this order many times before but I haven’t been there in awhile. The chicken was really bad. It was very dry with tons of pepper on it. It seems like the cook that used to make it is gone. Don’t think I’ll be eating here anymore. I should’ve known when we pulled up and no one was outside eating something was wrong. Quick story, My Fiancé and I had a fantastic but very long day. We came to Blackfinn to get something to eat but we needed to eat as fast as possible, my fiancé and I did not eat all day as we were too busy to stop anywhere and grab a snack. We came here and spoke with Chloe and I had told her that my fiancé was not feeling good at all (I was worried she could faint or throw up at any second), I asked Chloe if she could find some crackers in the kitchen to serve us so she could have some calories to settle her stomach and head. Chloe couldn’t find any saltines in the back but had some on her and gave them to my fiancé which helped her immensely. As soon as we sat down our sever came to greet us, his name is Dante. Dante put our dinner orders in immediately and the cooks were able to cook our Alfredo and bbq Mac n cheese in less than 10 minutes and we were eating in less than 11 minutes. I haven’t received true genuine care and situational understanding from a restaurant like this over 5 years.

If you come here to eat, it is in your best interest to request Dante as your server. He will take care you and your company in the most professional manner. I am grateful that we swung by here to eat and to have met Dante and Chloe. Even though I haven’t met the back of the house, the cooks are fantastic!!! Their speed and quality in getting the orders ready was something to see in a movie theatre. Needless to say, I have found a new favorite within all of the Charlotte metro area,...

I will be nice and split the difference. I have only been twice, and ordered the same thing. The first time everything was just fine, for the type of place that it is, and sports bar. Good food, service, 5 stars. Then my recent visit started with me grabbing a seat on the wrong side of the bar, apparently. The TVs there needed to be replaced, with lines in the screen, and one was in very bad shape. I am a craft beer nerd and my first beer was old and flat and lifeless. I made a different choice for the second beer, and it was better, but maybe they need to do a better job of cleaning the beer lines and keeping track of how old the beer is. The meal was disappointing. I ordered the meatloaf with vegetable (broccoli?) instead of the sweet potato casserole. I didn't get my vegetable, because someone wasn't listening, or someone else got it wrong. The meatloaf was horrible. I got it again because it was definitely not horrible the first time. The sweet potato casserole was delicious however (that I didn't want, and specifically asked for (broccoli?), delicious because it is so sweet that it deserves a place on the desert menu. I was disappointed enough that a third beer or a look at the desert menu was not going to happen. I'm sorry to see a decline here. Hopefully they can get it together soon. 3 stars this visit, for a 4 average. Overall, do not order...
