I have been to almost a dozen different Hungry Howie's locations since moving to North Carolina 6 years ago and believe me when I tell you that no other corporate store or franchise remotely comes close to this location of course the food is great as is the case with pretty much every single Hungry Howie's location. But that is not what makes this particular place special in my opinion it is the people that work here and manage the Place. It makes such a difference I don't think most people even realize how much your experience can drastically change when you have people behind the counter and in the kitchen and delivering that seem to genuinely and sincerely care about their customers and their customers experience not only at Hungry Howie's but as well as a person and I think that really makes the difference here I mean you have just SUPERB management like Haley and Adrian and you have phenomenal employees like Swee Katie and "Mama Missy" who are always willing to go out of their way and laugh with you and make you feel better about your day even when they are Jam packed and slammed with orders and other customers. They do it in such a way that albeit a sometimes momentary and brief reaction or a full blown conversation they keep up the pace with everyones orders and DON'T FALL BEHIND.They make each interaction seem meaningful or at least attempt to do so although sometimes no matter how well they try, some customers just seem as if they don't want a positive experience in their day.But hey these ladies are the textbook definition of Multitaskers and they don't let the "Angry and unpleasable customers get them down they stay polite, courteous and professional even with the most ridiculous and irate customers I've seen whilst in there.I feel as if they deserve some sort of Patience medal sometimes lol. Then you have the driver's who are (if I'm remembering correctly) James. He is a Great guy definitely my favorite of the driver's I've come across He is a really charismatic, laid back, friendly,Hardworking and professional guy.He honestly seems like he's a really decent guy even outside of the professional interaction with him. Then you've got Dale he's sort of new but comes across as a very hardworking kind of quiet but still pretty friendly "Gentle Giant" of a guy. Then you've got Val (I think I'm spelling her name correctly lol) She also is a tiny little thing lol but she's a very sweet, kind, soft spoken, but again friendly and professional girl who always gets to you on time and is always friendly. What I'm trying to get at here is this whole location is made better 10 times over BECAUSE OF THE PEOPLE like Adrian and Hayley who keep the place running like a damn Swiss Time piece. Then to the people who make and Bake the food and yes it's of course very Trite line but you can taste the fact that Sweet Katie cared about your order while she was making it although it may appear similar to every other order that was made that day EACH order is individualized in it's own little Minuscule way because you can feel and even taste that someone cared about and thought about how each customer would feel as they were eating their food and they would want you to remember that experience that you had there with them no matter how small it was or whether it was in store and in person or an interaction with one of there great delivery drivers who do their best to try to get your food to you Hot and fresh,in a timely manner, with a smile on their face and a positive, warm, welcoming and accommodating attitude all while taking all the proper safety measurements that are in place today, even sometimes going above those requirements to make sure their customers are Happy and safe. This particular location is unique and special in my opinion Sort of a Hidden Gem if you will. And It's due to the Incredible employees of this location. This place is only going up if the people that are there now stay and are treated well by corporate and they keep that same Zest and Family like Kinship that I and several others feel whenever we visit...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst and probably last time ordering from here. We passed on Jimmy John's to try Hungry Howie's... not a good decision. Ordered three subs at 6:30, food was supposed to be delivered 45 minutes later. Not a problem, because we live right around the corner from the place (literally, right around the corner). An hour and forty minutes later, no food from Hungry Howie's. Called to follow up on the order and was told that it was on the way. Ten to fifteen minutes later, the order finally arrived, food cold. It took a full hour and a half to get three sub sandwiches delivered to an address that was around the corner, less than a mile away from the restaurant.
I would have gone with that and given it a higher score if the food was good, because things happen and sometimes restaurants get very backed up with orders. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Sandwiches were cold, VERY greasy, and both my husband and son had to "hunt" for the few pieces of steak that were on their steak and cheese subs. This just isn't okay for a $30 order. I can say with certainty that we will not be ordering from here again, as the service we received was just simply bad. I gave the review 2 stars only because the staff member who answered the phone to help me when I called to check on what was taking so long was very nice and professional. Management - please note that he is the ONLY reason I gave two stars. In truth, none were earned outside of his professionalism. I think we'll stick with Jimmy...

I was coming in from the main road and the boy was flying through the parking lot! Just about hit me. He threw up his hands and was having a fit in his car as he continued to go to the restaurant. With my heart pounding, I looked back in my seat to see if my baby was ok. She was still on her phone unaware of anything. So I continued with my journey to the store. I parked and went in behind the boy. I realized he was going to the same location as I was. I waited until we both where inside and confronted him about his actions. I told him to look better when in parking lots that he About hit me. He then started yelling at me and throwing his hands about telling me he had the right away. I told him that he did not and asked him how long he had his license. He proudly admitted to only having them 5 years. I told him that he needed more experience. He started yelling at me again and the manager behind the counter told him to calm down. I told him that I wasnāt arguing with him anymore and bye. The woman was very nice and sweet and understanding. The boy then took a picture of my tag. So I ran outside and quickly took a picture of tag . So I then ran outside as he was trying to leave and took a picture of his tag as he sped off. I had my husband on the phone the whole time. My husband was furious! Thank you for whomever you are,...
