Updated Review(October 2025): I’m bringing my review down to 2/5 because during my past few visits(during the time they show as open on Google Maps), they haven’t been functioning. At least have the courtesy to mark the location as closed when you aren’t working so that people don’t drive all the way to find your food truck not working. Earlier Review: The Indian food scene in Charlotte continues to get more promising. I stumbled upon The Spice Box food truck and was genuinely impressed! The bright green truck is easy to spot(in a gas station), beautifully decorated with vibrant garlands, and gives off a warm and festive vibe. The menu is extensive, offering everything from nostalgic chai combos to fusion rice bowls and Indo-Chinese delights. I tried the Chicken Kathi Roll and it was excellent — warm, flaky paratha filled with juicy, well-marinated chicken, crisp onions, and flavorful sauces. Every bite was a hit of bold Indian street food flavor. Also ordered the Chicken Manchurian, which was incredibly tasty — crispy fried chicken chunks tossed in a tangy, spicy sauce with hints of soy and garlic. It was delicious but did lean on the oily side, so just something to keep in mind depending on your preference. They offer delivery via DoorDash and Uber Eats, but it’s worth visiting in person for the full experience. Staff was friendly, service was quick, and they clearly take pride in what they serve. Definitely a must-visit if you’re craving Indian fusion street food in Charlotte. I’ll be back to try their chaats, fries and dumplings next time!

I had the pleasure of dining at The Spice in Charlotte, and it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly and made to feel right at home. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between modern and cozy, making it ideal for both casual lunches and special dinners. The food is truly exceptional. Every dish I tried was packed with rich, authentic flavors and clearly prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Their spices live up to the name — bold yet balanced, enhancing every bite without overwhelming the palate. Whether you’re ordering their signature curries, grilled items, or traditional rice dishes, you can expect consistent excellence. Service was equally impressive. Staff were professional, attentive without being intrusive, and genuinely knowledgeable about the menu. They were happy to provide recommendations based on our preferences, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, The Spice stands out as one of the best dining spots in Charlotte for anyone seeking flavorful, authentic cuisine with top-notch service. Highly recommended — I’ll definitely be returning soon.

I had the chance to try the noodles and dosa from the spice box truck recently, and I’ve got to say—it was a flavorful ride. The dosa was crisp on the outside, soft in the center, and had that perfect golden-brown finish. It was served fresh off the griddle, and the potato masala inside was well-spiced without being overpowering. The tomatoes and peanut chutney on the side were solid too—creamy and warm, respectively. It’s comforting, classic, and clearly made with care. Stir-fried noodles with vibrant veggies and a generous kick of Indo-Chinese seasoning, they had just the right chew and spice. It’s not your typical food truck fare, and that’s what made it stand out. Not greasy, not bland—just saucy enough to make you go back for another bite. Overall, the food felt homemade in the best way—honest, tasty, and satisfying. The team at the truck was friendly and passionate, which added to the charm. Would definitely go again and again, especially if I’m craving something with both crunch and comfort.
