My wife & I had been wanting to visit Mazali ever since we had read on a Facebook group how good the food was. We had never had Uzbek cuisine before, and we were very curious to give it a try. We were a bit disappointed about the hours - probably because the place is relatively new and small - but they (according to their website as of the time I am writing this) are closed on weekends, which is the most convenient time for us to go out to eat. When we got to the address we put in the GPS, we couldn't find it at first. For those going, please note that Mazali is one of about 10 small restaurants that share a rented kitchen space inside of City Kitch. You order your food from a tablet in the main shared dining space. We ordered and shared the Guiru Lagman & Boso Lagman - two similar dishes with noodles and vegetables with a unique flavor that was absolutely delicious! Note, although there are a few tables in the shared space, because this is a shared kitchen space with other restaurants, it is more suited for 'to go' dining than in-house dining. We were both very pleased with what we ordered, and if we are in that area again, I definitely plan to go back and order exactly what I had before (and perhaps also try something new to go...

The highlight of the meal was the Uzbek plov, a dish that embodies the heart of Central Asian cuisine. True to its origins, it was generously packed with vegetables, giving it a well-balanced taste and texture. The rice was perfectly cookedâfluffy yet rich, infused with aromatic spices that made each bite a pleasure. It was a dish that felt both hearty and wholesome, just as plov should be. Another standout was the samsa, a traditional baked pastry that was remarkably squishy and healthy. The dough had the perfect softness, while the filling was packed with flavor. Unlike heavier versions, this samsa felt light, making it an excellent complement...
Read moreThis was a disappointing experience. It should be made very clear that this is not a restaurant, but a digital screen where you pick your foodâand thatâs it. The information feels deceiving, especially when they show their dishes on such nice platters, but then give you regular take-out bowls. Be aware, THIS IS NOT A RESTAURANT; itâs a very small space with a kitchen offering food based on the screen you use. Also, the food from Mazali is overrated. My noodles were very stiff, and my wifeâs dish was so salty she couldnât finish it. Weâre not...
