McDonald's — Restaurant in Charlotte

My visit today just might be one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had. I tried to order a grilled chicken minus the bun. The employee said the chicken was “unavailable”. We questioned this because we’ve never experienced this anywhere, ever. I asked if she could double check. Another employee showed her what she had done wrong & I got my sandwich ordered. No apology. My son ordered a different chicken sandwich & she said “it’s unavailable”. I asked “could you ask someone else because you had just told us this before”. A different employee again fixed the issue & we got our 2nd sandwich ordered. No apology. Meanwhile, we visit the restroom. No toilet paper. Another employee happened to come in after my discovery. I stated “their is no toilet paper in either stall” (she took care of it). As I exited, the floor was full of suds. I waited about 1 foot outside the door to warn my son so he would not slip (the caution sign went up as I was finishing giving him the warning). I thought this would give the employee some pause but no, he continued to soak the ENTIRE restaurant (picture included). Complete hazard & I was fearful for everyone, especially the spot in front of the entrance doors. We ordered large fries & they were out of size L containers so we actually got the baskets instead (cheaper/no complaint). All of our food sat on a counter. I had to ask for our sandwiches since our last batch of fries had just dropped to cook. The other filled baskets were placed high above the whole entire fry fryer section just waiting...? To top it all off, we have 3 baskets of fries & the same “no chicken” employee told my husband they have no ketchup. I went to confirm that they have no ketchup in either the pump or packets. She again said “I told you we don’t have any”. I decided on one last ditch effort to speak with a young man about the ketchup. He confirmed they were out of packets but when realizing the pump was empty... refilled it in less than 5 mins. Just shocking & I said the other employee might need to be told what to do because she twice told us you were out of chicken & was rude. His response... “she does that...

I placed my order for curbside pickup several minutes before arriving. As I approached there was a sign saying drive through open lobby closed. It said nothing about curbside pickup. The parking spaces for curbside pickup were not blocked. As a result I pulled in to curbside and went into the app indicated I was there and entered in the number of the spot I was in. I waited 15 minutes before calling to find out where my food is. When I called the person I spoke with was giving me attitude and told me to read the sign. I told her I did it said your lobby was closed and said nothing about curbside pickup. She then told me they had no way out as the entrances were locked. I then said I have seen dozens of people going in and out of the building. She then said oh those are construction McDonald's employees. Instead of arguing with her further as I could have said fire code does not allow you to work in a building without a way to get out. I told her fine I will just go through drive through. Least they could have done is give me a free drink for my inconvenience. They gave nothing not even an apology. If curbside pickup is not available then turn it off for the store in the app. Another option would be to cover up the curbside pickup signs to let people know it is not available.

Update 11/19/2024 STILL HORRIBLE SERVICE Repairs are now over signs has been removed. Unfortunately still crappy service. Pulled into curbside pickup 5 placed an order for a 10 piece mcnugget, after being checked in and waiting 15 minutes I went inside to find out where my food was told the gal at the counter turned out they did not even start my order. So tonight of 7/8/19 I go to McDonald’s with my mom she don’t feel good I drive her to McDonald’s now mind you we stay behind crown Point movies 🎥 we eat here everyday almost so my mom said take me to McDonald’s we go inside at 9:40pm so my mommy paid for her food she have 9 grandchildren so she using her coupons and stuff so the manger gets upset already talking rude to my mom so the other customers are being friendly so we leave so we get home the food is COLD 🥶 so mind you my mom got all them grandkids so I drive back up there 10:09 drive there the line the lady ask me what’s wrong I tell her my food cold we got kids so she said let me get my manger so another lady come to the window and took my receipt so the manger came to the window um yeah I’m not giving you no new food call Corbett on me and slams the window and my face so I park my car go inside I don’t even care about the burgers nomore I wanna know why you slam the window and can’t handle it like manger and talk nicely so she still say call the people on me I’m not giving you your food so bum I get mad den she screams why I’m cussing and why I’m mad so her boss walk inside she telling the boss what happened she gone turn around tell her boss I’m mad cuz she saying I slam the window so she turns to her employes ask them did I slam the window one of them said yeah I beg y’all dont go to this McDonald’s the manger rude she disrespectful she don’t care how your food come out and she have a nasty attitude she want the money she don’t have a heart I can’t...
