Whoa! I used to love coming here. The service from my server was excellent. In fact, everyone was polite and professional. I would suggest that staff handling food have short appropriate length nails.
Lets get to the food. The bartender is a keeper! The Mai Tai cocktail almost knocked me off my chair. They were strong but not overpowering.
The Dynamite Shrimp looked like a cluster of batter, sauce and shrimp; like someone forgot to shake them as they cooked.
My son said the Chicken Lettuce Wraps were delicious. He would order again. He also had the Pepper Steak. It looked fresh, well seasoned and plated nicely. He said that was good as well.
I ordered the Mongolian Beef. The beef was tender although some pieces were overcooked and slightly chewy. I kinda felt like they mixed some old with freshly cooked pieces together. Also there was no sauce with it. Im sure I had it in the past with a sweet brown sauce. Not swimming in gravy but a nice sauce that mixed well with the rice. I had to ask for the sauce. Otherwise, I wouldve had rice topped with steak.
Lastly, the dish I came for was sold out. They didnt have anymore Singapore Street Noodles. How do you run out!! I was told it was the end of the night and they dont have anymore. So I guess in their defense it was 9:30pm and they closed at 10pm.
Pet peeves They mentioned on arrival they were down 2 servers. That meant there was going to be a wait and service was going to be slow. The wait was average and the service was actually faster than normal. I guess the kitchen was on point.
Overall, my son was happy celebrating his birthday and that's all that mattered to me!
Update: P.F. Chang's offered to make my experience right. They issued me a gift card. So i went back on 5/11/22. I got fried shrimp dumplings for my appetizer and guess what...my Singapore Street noodles!!🤩
My guest got fried pork dumplings and Short rib fried rice.
Once again, the bartender didnt disappoint! The drinks were on point.
Our server Zaed, offer superior service! He was very personable, knew the menu well and was able to offer drink suggestions. Next time I will order: IWAI OF THE TIGER or COCONUT MOJITO.
I did all of that and forgot to use my gift card! Oh well🤦🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️...
Read moreThe PF Changs of yesterday is absolutely not the PF Changs of today. My husband and I had our first date at PF Changs so it was a sentimental place for us. I was so disappointed in what was supposed to be my mother's day surprise dinner today at the North Lake location. We had a 530 reservation and upon arrival, were told there were several parties ahead of us (also reservations), and it would be about 20 minutes. 45 minutes later they called us to be seated and walked us through the filthy restaurant to be seated in what was clearly a back overflow room filled with dirty tables and dirty floors and no other patrons. Standing in the dank, dark room the host told us to wait while he cleaned off a table. I refused and requested to be seated in the main dining room with everyone else. We then had to stand in the aisle and wait again while they cleaned off a table and attempted to sweep food and trash from the floors at our feet. The server came by promptly to get our drink orders, but that was the only prompt thing she did. We had to flag her down to request drink refills which never came. We had to flag her down again to repeat that request. Then our entrees were delivered at about 730, they were lukewarm, my spicy chicken was dry and the server disappeared without asking if we needed anything. I had to flag her down again and ask for soy sauce. That never appeared so when a gentleman came by to take plates off the table I asked again to please have some soy sauce. 10 minutes later, a different gentleman stopped by and dropped 5 packets of soy sauce on the table and kept walking. I was flabbergasted. Excuse me, is this a Wendy's? (No shade to Wendy's, at least their floors are clean and the food is hot.) Comdiment packets are great for takeout, but I'm dining in your restaurant for goodness sake. And did I mention that the silverware was dirty with old dried food and the plates were chipped? Worst mothers day dinner I've ever experienced and we will absolutely not be back to North Lake PF Changs. The South Park location...
Read moreThis is a wonderful experience.
The food is amazing, and has its own unique Asian flare.
The staff has always been top-notch and highly trained.
Even though they do not mix the sauce at the table anymore, it is still awesome.
That was an experience that I really liked.
The servers would always mix it to your personal liking, and it was just a really cool experience that I still wish they offered.
The restaurant is extremely clean, has a wonderful smell & and the ambience is absolutely phenomenal.
It’s also not very noisy, and it seems to have unbelievably well placed acoustics.
It’s just awesome.
My recommendations are to start off with the chicken lettuce wraps.
There’s just nothing like them.
My favorite dishes are the Mongolian beef and the Chang spicy chicken.
I also love the cashew chicken.
If you go there at lunch, there’s really nice lunch specials.
It’s just a wonderful place!
If you are in the mood for any type of Asian food whatsoever I don’t think there’s any other place that I could recommend more. Both locations in Charlotte are top notch.
I love the one located in south park and I believe it was the first one in the area.
The Northlake mall location is definitely easier for me to visit rather than the South Park location,
Lunch or dinner it is just phenomenal food.
The atmosphere is top notch and there’s wonderful artwork on the walls that just makes the whole experience phenomenal.
My kids really enjoy the desserts and they’re very well presented.
One of them has lots of sparks and sparkles. I don’t know how to describe it, the kids look forward to...
