Read moreAwesome atmosphere, great food. I had the harvest burger (burger of the month for November). It seemed like it was missing something flavor wise and the leeks made it a bit hard to eat without making a mess but overall it was pretty good. The meat and the bun were winners and next time I think I'd prefer to get a regular burger with ketchup and mayo here. Since this was stop number one on my year of burger restaurants in Charlotte I figured I may as well try some other things too. The crab puppies were delicious and I'm not sure if they make their tartar sauce but it had a great taste. I wanted to eat the whole basket of those puppies by myself. I also was able to try the fried pickles. Good taste. Nothing over the top amazing but they were cooked right and not insanely greasy which was a win for me. For a side I got the sweet potato chips with wasabi ranch. Those were delicious. Perfect crunch. Great by themselves too. I tried the wasabi ranch on everything as it was really good. It worked on the crab puppies as well as my harvest burger (gave it a little something extra). My friend got the fried squash so I gave it a go too. Seemed pretty fresh. Fried nicely. It's not my favorite dish but for a fried squash I thought it was pretty good. They have the music loud and the place was packed at 1pm. The outside patio looked fantastic and I definitely want to come back to sit out there on a nice day. A little tip, as you are approaching the restaurant you may quickly notice that they have a very small parking lot in the front. There are signs stating that there is parking in the back but what we discovered was the parking was actually just a little bit down the street. I have added a picture of the down the street parking lot to my listing here. I recommend just going ahead and parking down there as it makes it a lot easier. The restaurant is handicap accessible, but you are likely to run into a lot of holes in the parking lot that could be hazardous. It's also fairly tight inside so a wheelchair may be a bit difficult to maneuver. It is definitely possible though. The service here was pretty fantastic. Exceptionally fast. They also have a great t-shirt selection, which I felt was pretty top-notch for a t-shirt collection at a burger joint. My friend even bought one for herself! It's definitely an awesome spot and I'll...
Read moreHavent been in a while. Came lastnight to try again to celebrate a special day for me and get togo food. Wanted to go to bang bang burgers but they closed up early i think. Anyways. Get there and get rang up. Tip them a little. Get food. Check the bag and of course the ranch for the squash isnt there. I wait for my turn to talk and to get an employees attention and when i do pretty sure its the manager i say could i have a ranch for my squash. He says you know i gotta charge you for that right? Which is fine. But the fact of the matter is the location of this place and the people they serve has led them to be on edge and penny pinchers only due to the fact the clientele they see become more…. Lets say “needy”. So i show on the menu how it mentions it includes it (i guess they dont know thier own menu) But i regret one thing. I should have let him ring it up and then take my dollar out from the tip jar since the only money in there was from me. Should have let him ring it up and paid for it out if their own tips. Do better guys lol. Sad. Then he looks at the girl who i guess is new and says “you gotta watch that” like not watch the damn order to be correct when you bag but you gotta watch for people asking for ranch AFTER the fact to avoid payment. Lol. The usuals screwing things up for the rest of us. SHOCKER. The burger, squash and soda was already 22 bucks and he wants to charge me more for something thats supposed to be included. Such a rip off this place is. but yea the burger meat was dry and the burger wasnt good. When i arrived they are prepping banana pudding from a big tub right at the takeout stand. If i sneezed and didnt cover my mouth it would have been hit by me, thats how close it was. Should prop prep food elsewhere manager dude. I should have just ate a pb and j at home… good work guys, flex that incompetence. Owner mentions and replies that nothing worse than a dry burger on another review? Maybe stop serving them like that? Just an idea. Are you freezing your beef patties? Sure had the taste and uniformity of it!!!! Overhyped and not worth it at all. Parking sucks. Maybe the pork chop sandwhich is still good, i used to get that all the time but i wont be back...
