Absolutely RIDICULOUS behavior by the employees here tonight (Saturday 9/11 @ about 6:30 pm). We placed an online order for pick up and when we got to the restaurant, they said they had no record of the order. That was fine, we had no problem showing them the online receipt and getting our order, which we had already paid for, made. The employee looked at the orderās receipt on our phone and walked away, wordlessly. We assumed he was off to make the order. At the time we were the only guests in the restaurant. As time went on, more guests came in. After standing in the restaurant for about 30 mins at this point, everyone started to realize that no food was coming. We could hear the employees in the back laughing and joking around. Multiple guests stepped up to the register to request a refund because of the ridiculously long wait and rude behavior of the employees. The employee behind the register was especially foul tempered for no reason. We got in line to request our refund and the man behind the register looked at us blankly and just walked away. Literally just left, without saying a single word. Another employee stepped up and said he didnāt know how to process the refund for us. We ended up having to call customer service.
I understand that sometimes businesses get backed up and things happen, but the way these employees were behaving was absolutely absurd. One of the employees was bragging about the fact that they were telling all of the drive through customers to come inside to order. They were refusing to let customers use the drive through. As we got to the parking lot, it became apparent why that was. The drive through sits behind the building where multiple employees were seen hanging out. They were laughing, getting in and out of parked cars, some were fighting, and it made sense why no one was getting food. ALSO there is a brick structure behind the restaurant where MULTIPLE EMPLOYEES were hanging out and WATCHING A MOUNTED TV. You can not make this up. It was absolutely ridiculous. Who is running this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI wish I could give it 0 stars. This is one of the worse Popeyes location ever in Charlotte. I literally stood in line for 20 minutes after placing a mobile order 15 minutes before I came to get it. The reason is because they ran out of mild chicken & only had spicy chicken. When I got there the young lady behind the counter butchered my name instead of asking how to pronounce my name & laughed. Let's not forget how she called me explicit names along with another customer because I had a mobile order & the customer was in the middle of her own order. That is not my fault I placed an order first. I didn't see anything funny at all about this. Very disrespectful. I ordered a 14 PCs family meal with three sides & two cheesecakes that was on the mobile app, I come home & I only had gotten 11 PCS. This young lady knew I ordered 14 because she looked at my order on my phone & still didn't correct it. She didn't have a hair net or was wearing gloves. I understand they were short staffed but this is outrageous. This place needs to be shut down. It used to be the place to go whenever the south Blvd location was busy but not anymore. They need to hire a whole new staff. I will never come back to this location again. Luckily I was able to get a hold of customer service since the phone at this location was off to get a refund. What's the point of a mobile order if you skip it & don't have it ready for the customer when he or she arrives. It's freaking...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI thought my experience was a one off until I started to read the reviews. I went in this afternoon. There was no line at the drive thru and one couple in front of me inside the store. The girl at the register was so tacky and unprofessional. She had one hand with long press on nails and the other hand had none. Her fake eye lashes had glue all over them and her hair was not pulled back in a hair net.
Instead of multitasking and packing up the food while she carried on with her co-workers about everything that absolutely nothing to do with her job, she just stood there talking to the women in the back that were running around working their butts off. I came in on my lunch break and had to stand there for 20+ minutes waiting on two meals just to have the sides be cold and nasty. The chicken was delicious, but I guess that is because the woman at the front of the store didn't have anything to do with that.
Everything is very expensive these days. It is a treat and a sacrifice to eat out. Because of that, this experience further infuriates me. I thought the location on South Blvd. was horrible, but this location is running neck and neck with them. They need new management before they have to shut down due to profit loss. People who work hard for their money are not going to continue to come back here to have horrible service and disgusting...
