We love sushi, especially all you can eat sushi restaurants that are opening up in Charlottle and the surrounding areas. As we entered, the atmosphere was calm, and we were seated right away. We were provided with a menu that listed their AYCE menu and was very surprised and excited by all the varieties of food from appetizers to the sushi rolls. The sushi rolls were definitely on point and delicious! We couldn't try every single roll this time around but will definitely try the next time we go. Our favorite so far is the Golden Sunrise Roll & Dynamite roll! The Golden Sunrise roll is savory and melts in your mouth. Omg! You have to try it. We also enjoyed the tempura soft shell crab appetizer. It was delicious and something new that we have not seen at other AYCE sushi restaurants. Hopefully, they keep this item on the menu! We ordered some hibachi and teriyaki dishes to try as well. We love eating hibachi and teriyaki entrees at other restaurants too, so in comparison, it tasted a little more bland to us. Our suggestion for improvement would be not to cut the steak too small. It was more like diced steak. When the steak is not diced, it looks more presentable and appetizing. Also, add a little more seasoning to the hibachi/teriyaki dishes so it balances the taste. Overall, we were pleased and happy with our visit and plan to visit soon!

As you can see the presentation is excellent. Everything was made to order. The gyoza were hot and fresh. The steak was outstanding, tender and juicy from the hibachi. I was very excited to try the sushi when it came out, but the salmon and tuna nigiri were not very good. Fresh, but not what I would expect for sushi grade salmon. The rolls were extremely well put together and looked great, but the quality of the fish just wasn't there. The seaweed on the hand rolls were hard to chew and I ended up spitting it out. They were mostly filled with rice so I will not order them again. Service was very good and the staff were attentive and very friendly. Overall for $15 AYCE lunch, it was good. And being very close to my house is a huge plus. The restaurant is kept at near refrigerator temperature so I'll bring a jacket next time. It keeps the fish fresh I guess.

Never been to a restaurant grand opening or tried sushi before so I was nervous. It’s nice in there, the food was really good. They have many options to pick from. The server we had explained how the menu works and was very informative. My favorite was the miso soup and angel hair roll. The shrimp fried rice was on point…as a rice feen I stand by that. It was good. I would come back for sure. Edit: Upon leaving I missed an important rule, I’m glad they didn’t make a huge deal about it. It was mentioned to get what you can eat but I was in the mind set of I will try it not realizing I was wasting food. There is a 25Ā¢ charge per wasted food which is donated. They reiterated and didn’t charge us. Though I thought it would have been in our bill. In the end it was not a bad experience and would definitely go back now that I know how to approach 😊

It was my first time here because my friend recommended it to me and I’ve seen people rave about it online but unfortunately my boyfriend and I just didn’t have a good time mainly because of the food. Food presentation was great, it looked very nice. However the issue lied ā€œunder the hoodā€ as the saying goes. The rice for the nigiri tasted like it was obviously mushed or compacted together, so externally it looked like a normal amount of rice but it was actually a lot. It was very disappointing and I wish I took a pic because the cuts of the fish were amazing but when I eat the whole thing it literally feels almost like a choking hazard because of the amount of rice. Miso soup tasted off and the clear soup was fine. Id recommend the clear soup over the miso. The taste of the steak yaki udon reminded me of a chili hot dog… I don’t know. My boyfriend was not having it and he said it tasted very sweet but not at the same time. Overall, I don’t think I’ll be coming back and I’m not exactly sure if I would recommend my friends due to my experience.

This restaurant truly does have potential and if the things I pointed out were improved, it’d be perfect. But it just wasn’t my cup of tea today. Staff and service were nice though. They were very nice, polite and timely so great...

The food and atmosphere are great my husband loves this place and frequents here often, our recent visit there was a misunderstanding though. My husband and I both ordered waters and he put his dietary drink packets into his, but for some reason our waitress thought that we ordered a tea even though his water was now red. I do understand that it was all miscommunication, but I didn't appreciate the man at the counter still trying to charge us for what we never ordered even after we corrected the waitress. A quick peek at security footage would prove that we in fact did not order a tea, but I understand why that is too much work for a 3$ drink and its easier to assume someone is trying to steal a free drink but still trying to charge us made me feel as if we were being made out to be liars and I know it's such a small thing but my husband really loves this place and I don't want something so small to tarnish the relationship he's been building with this place since they opened. Other than this everyone is pretty welcoming and the waitresses are...
