Disrespectful staff. I was formerly a customer who had been to this restaurant many times. Ander was disrespectful to us, and we spoke to the general manager, he did not fix the issue.
We were standing to wait for a table, and the restaurant was busy. Other customers had left, but after about 5 minutes, no tables were cleared still. After a while, my wife limped over to a table (due to an injured knee) and sat down, so as to be in less pain. We sat there for several minutes, being ignored, because the staff were busy. Then Ander came over and talked to us. At first he was trying to figure out why we were there. Once we explained that my wife had sat down because of an injured knee, he explained that we would have to move because there are health department regulations that prevent us from sitting at a table that has not been cleared yet. We explained that we would not like to move because that would cause my wife physical pain to extract herself from the table again. He was not willing to fix the problem (e.g. clear the dishes), although he easily could have in the time he stood explaining the health regulations, etc to us. So then my wife slowly extracted herself from the table in pain and was limping across the restaurant. I asked to speak to the general manager and said I felt this was quite respectful. He seemed confused about whether there were any such health regulations, but also said that he was sorry but there was nothing he could do about this. I said well that is your choice, and I will give this restaurant 1 star online and never return here because I consider this quite disrespectful.
I will also note that Ander in a previous visit was unable to explain items on the menu such as tripe and brisket, and other staff had been rude in previous visits to the point that I almost walked out.
I have been to many restaurants in many states and countries, and not all of them have lazy workers with BS excuses that cause customers physical pain and force them to leave...
Read moreThis is an authentic review by a new customer. Thai Cuisine & Noodle House is one of the best Thai restaurants I have been to. They are not available for dine in and that was no biggie for us as the food was prepared so quickly. Neat presentations and some eco friendly options for containers! I had ordered the papaya salad, momsum curry (mispelled I am sure), shrimp pad thai, fresh spring rolls, fried spring rolls, beef pad woon sen, and chicken/veggie pad woon sen. The veggies were very fresh and actually had some crisp to them. The aroma of savory and sweet sauces were great. Even the spice level was accurate to what I expected for each level (we had all levels in this large order). Price was great considering the quality of the ingredients and portions. The portions are larger than most. The sauces were a bit sweeter than other places I have tried but not overly sweet. ( I also chose sweeter dishes so make note of that). I was very impressed as I am big on quality of ingredients when eating at any restaurant. And the customization when ordering online was fantastic! The website is very user friendly and Kudos to their team for having actual pictures of the dishes. Customers buy what they can see! My only critique is to add more photos for each item on the website. I am bummed out that I don't live in the area! But anytime I am here, you bet I will come to this place! This was the general consensus for my...
Read moreI initially wanted to give 5 stars, but I've docked two after this experience. I ordered the soft shell crab again, Thai spicy, and it's not even medium spicy. The sauce is underseasoned and they've given me broccoli that's spoilt already. The first time was great, this second time not so much. I was hoping for a bit more consistency.
Edit: I want to address the response from the owner. I would like to point out that if you truly think spice levels are subjective and do not like them, then don't put the spice levels as an option on the online ordering menu. I specifically requested it in the comment to make it spicier. If your chefs don't have a consistent way of controlling the spice level, then that's a QC issue.
Secondly, I have been to multiple other Asian restaurants that provide spice levels and they are generally consistent with the amount of spice they provide at each level. Sure, their levels of spice are different, but theirs was consistently reproducible.
Third, I'm going to circle back and highlight the things you avoided in the response - the lack of seasoning in the sauce and the spoilt vegetables in my dish. That's a quality control issue. I'm not going to open each takeout container at the register and taste test it, then ask for more spice or new broccoli. That's not how that works. Please make sure your food is at least edible before it goes out because that's a potential food...
