I normally enjoy getting Duck Donuts from this establishment, but today was a disappointment. We went in to try the St Patricks day assortment and on the advertisement for the donut pack, the lucky charm donuts had at least 5-6 or more marshmallows on each donut. So, thinking we were getting the donuts that were advertised, we ordered the pack. When we went to look at the donuts, the person in charge of our order was trying to quickly put on the lid so we couldn't see what we were getting. We asked to look at them closer. Begrudgingly, she showed us the donuts. Two of the lucky charm donuts did not have a single marshmallow on them, and the other lucky charm had one single marshmallow. We asked her "where are the marshmallows?" she said "oh, we're out". Then my mom noticed more lucky charm marshmallows in a container and said "but what about those over there?". The employee then acted way bothered and way annoyed with us, grabbed the container and put a measily two marshmallows on each of the other lucky charm donuts. She was acting like we were the problem for her company's lack of product. May be taking our business elsewhere with the snootiness thats at Duck Donuts nowadays. Here is the picture of what our donuts looked like after we simply asked for marshmallows.

So my first time hearing about duck donuts was in Charlotte, NC. I heard how amazing they tasted and how they originated from a town called Duck in North Carolina. I even googled the damn town. Anyways my first time experiencing the place was here. I LOVE the whole concept about this place. Donuts made to order… I'm from the North, We barely see Krispie Kreams where I live and Dunkin Donuts is the only other franchise around. After having one of duck's donuts I feel like I can't ever have Dunkin's ever again 😂. I had their French Toast with maple frosting donut. It was so warm and sweet. It didn't taste like French toast to me but I was ok with that. I cherished every last bite of that delicious. It's definitely a decadent, too sweet to have more than one in one sitting. And it was at a decent price about, 50 cents more than a lame dunkin donut, donut.

What can I say? The donut was good. Chocolate dipped w salted caramel driz & topped off w choco sprinkles. It was delicious. The sausage egg and cheese donut sando was not good, made in the microwave and more expensive then my bagel sausage egg and chz from bodos (pic included of the real deal I got after I left) that beat the hell out of whatever that was trying to be. The manager was nice and refunded the $6 to my card. They are "hiring," but my guess is that the pay is low... like I don't need to buy groceries or pay rent or a car payment low... I guess you get what ya pay for when it comes to labor. Would not go back. There are other locations that have way better service and, therefore, better products. Best of luck. No hard feelings but yikes. I'd skip this location.

This was my first visit here... They have an amazing array of donuts! Every kind you could think of and some you wouldn't think of!

I was warned that these donuts are very sweet and that was no understatement! These are cake donuts, or at least that's what they reminded me of. So I think the batter is sweet to begin with, then by the time they add the flavors they are toothache sweet!

I had the maple smoked bacon with salted caramel. The topping of bacon was more than generous and the quality of the bacon was very good. The "salted" caramel was just one note, sweet. I couldn't detect any salt in either the bacon or the salted caramel. However, the donut was fresh and still hot when I got it, which was nice. But I wouldn't call these donuts (especially these), or really any donuts, breakfast food. In my opinion they are a dessert.

I want to give a shout-out to the two women behind the counter. They were inviting, helpful, sweet and kind. I walked out of there with a warm, sweet donut and a huge smile on my face. I definitely recommend Duck Donuts... I don't know if this is a chain, but I'd love to know from the owner why they call it Duck Donuts? And now a non sequitur... Does anyone else miss...

I wish I could give more than five stars because the experience that I had last month for my son's birthday literally left me in tears, but good tears!

It has taken me awhile to write this review since everyone in my family has taken turns being sick but I wanted to share how wonderful the people at Cville duck donuts are.

First of all, I'm so incredibly grateful that they have a vegan donut available! My son has a dairy allergy and requested donuts for his (4th) birthday but with a new baby I just didn't have the time or energy to try to make them myself. So when someone had informed me that duck donuts had a vegan donut I was so relieved. But the real magic happened when I was in store getting said donuts the morning of my son's birthday. They went above and beyond once they found out they were for his birthday and that he had a dairy allergy and normally couldn't enjoy treats like this. I'm talking shark marshmallow gummies, a special birthday box and even balloons! Maybe it was from the lack of sleep but it's probably just because I'm an emotional person anyways but I literally was brought to tears by...
