I came yesterday with my baby in hand for some breakfast and tea. After ordering I asked if I shall sit down and been told to do so. I paid $6 and left $2 tip so I can get the service and have the waiter bring the food and tea to the table for me. I waited over 20 minutes and nothing came - baby was starting to get fussy and I needed to leave soon. When I asked the waiter to where is my food and tea she replied we've called. I haven't heard anything I was too busy with the baby and I wasn't aware I have to come get it myself so I wasn't even listening for it - I wish they've mentioned this before. The tea was in to-go cup and breakfast sandwich in a bag. I sat down and ate semi-cold food. It wasn't until I've finished the sandwich I realised there were some sauces inside. I just wished the service did a better job and maybe give my food and drink ib a proper cup and a plate as I was obviously dinning in. I appreciate if you don't do table service, but you should let people know in advance - I wouldn't have left more then 20% tip! For what? I order at the counter, pick it up and I clean after myself? Terrible - at least some courtesy from the staff when they see a mum with a baby on her hands...
Read moreThe atmosphere is good and the space itself is welcoming and very well lit. I do not like that there is inconsistency with their drinks. Some of the baristas are either not well trained or they just do a mediocre job with some drinks, e.g., café con leche and lattes, which is highly disappointing. However, what I find the most disappointing is the inconsistency of service. Some days when I visit I'm welcomed warmly by the baristas and receive great service. Unfortunately one of the younger female employees is very rude, I've had multiple interactions with her and she has been rude and even aggressive in her interactions with me. I do not understand why she would do that and I'm very sorry to rate the café a mere two stars due to the poor service from one employee but I believe this should be addressed so that other customers don't experience such bad service from her. Instead of feeling like I'm in a nice working environment I feel like I'm trying to understand why she has such negative attitude. Change this and I will gladly change my review as I enjoy the café itself and the multiple locations and light...
Read moreThey have decent drip coffee, and dairy substitutes like oat milk for no additional charge, but there is a $1 charge if you substitute for non-dairy in a latte. They offer rewards which can add up pretty quickly if you come here regularly that can get you free drinks. Their lattes are good, not too sweet but just the right amount of sweetness if you add a flavor. I recommend their caramel or hazelnut. They also have flavors like Irish cream and almond, which I don’t prefer but might work for others.
They don’t have many pastry options - pretty much just croissants - so not the place if you want a coffee and a treat, or breakfast options. They also don’t offer whipped cream, if you enjoy adding that to your coffee like I do, you won’t get that here.
Overall, a very nice vibe, friendly staff, good coffee. Would recommend...
