Pottery Barn — Local services in Charlottesville

The in store staff is extremely helpful and friendly, but unfortunately once it's out of their hands the experience takes a dramatically horrowing turn. Ordered furniture and spent close to $8K only to have it never show up and spend hours on hold for a customer service representative. I'm curious why they "experience longer than normal wait times" when I call right as their customer service department opens. Regardless, for spending so much money I'm extremely disappointed with how my order has been handled, let alone being able to reach anyone about it. I will admit I did expect more from Pottery Barn and assumed my shopping experience with them wouldn't be like almost every other company these days where they are super quick to take your money but then hide behind a wall of "were too busy to deal with you right now." I think this will be my last purchase with them if I can ever get through to someone, otherwise this purchase...

Driving through the area and thought I’d check out this location. Walked in and was greeted by one person; no problems. Then saw the rest of the staff were by the registers just chit chatting. Had my hands full and one staff member offered to put my items behind the register; no problem. I just so happened to buy holiday decor and once another staff member saw what I was purchasing she then made a comment about how people are going crazy about buying these items and thought it was too early. She then went on a rant about the holiday season items; the rest of the staff just stood there and encouraged her. At that point I gave her a look and told my daughter it’s time to go. I love Pottery Barn and their products. However, it’s been hard for years to find brick & mortar stores. Many locales you must buy online.

Parking can be challenging, but it’s in front of the store and FREE, so there’s that, it’s a super nice higher end shopping area that I really like.

I was immediately greeted upon entering. The hallmark of Pottery Barn are there displays and they absolutely did not disappoint. Every inch of the store was impeccably decorated.

I purchased sheets and received assistance on sizing. Their quality on bedding is well known. I also received help on a nightstand which I put a hold on. Ultimately I released it the next day.
