Five Stars all around! For service, flavors, quality, ambiance, parking, & creativity. Five Stars $11.49 smoked Lucy stuffed with pepper jack & cheddar cheese, topped with crispy onion rings & chipotle. Troy got this one, I got the classic Lucy. Troy says his smoked Lucy was perfectly cooked, juicy & perfectly season. He’s not very good at describing flavors lol. My Lucy was amaze beans! This was our first visit to @tommysmaltshop & we have fallen in love! The ambiance is so quaint, it’s right in the heart of downtown Chaska. Our server, Vickie is such an absolute sweetheart! Very personable, kind & attentive. I had to give her a hug after dinner! & parking isn’t any trouble either. Definitely recommend this gem of a place Five Stars $5.50 full strawberry banana. Best malt I’ve ever had. Tommy’s uses fresh ingredients except for the mint malts & I forget what else (where they use syrups). First time Troy & I came here, we split a full malt & there was more than enough for two of us, this time we got our own cause after tasting it the first time we got stingy lol-we met Josh, Vickie’s partner in crime as she put it, & he is an absolute sweetheart as well. Very personable, cheerful & like Vickie, I know has a beautiful soul. He shared with us that he’s been with Tommy’s for 7 years. Five Stars $9.49 50/50 burger. 50% ground bacon 50% ground beef topped with provolone & thick cut applewood bacon..umm, where has this burger been my whole life?! The bacon is absolutely amaze beans! Thick, perfectly crisp, candy-like & goes oh so beautifully with the provolone! & the 50/50 combo?! Whattt is this insanity?! The bacon fat locks in the moisture of the already moist patty. The buttery bun just makes it!

We were greeted right away and seated just as fast. The waiter we had was awesome. He was extremely friendly and helpful. I ordered a gold pike sweet tea but it didn't taste like it at all it was more water down than anything. My husband had ordered a full malt but received a half. The lady was very nice and brought him the other half. We started with a basket of onion rings. The flavor was there but they needed to be deep fried a little bit longer due to being a little soggy. Wasn't very happy with either one of our burgers. The patty tasted like it was a frozen meat patty from a box. It definitely did not taste like a homemade hamburger. The french fries also were pretty soggy and tasted like they need to be deep fried a little bit more. All in all we were not too impressed with the place. My husband said the best thing about everything was his malt. If we went back it would not be for the food but for their malts.

After reading the reviews I expected a much better experience all around. It was disappointing. The environment was dingy and loud. It's kind of like an echo chamber in there. The sound from the mixers was constant and intrusive and we could hear tables on the other side of the restaurant. The music was extremely tinny and loud. The food was ok but there's no way that burger was a half pound. The malt was nothing special and holy cow $4+ for a half size? The one thing that they have going for them is the service. Very good service and staff however, I don't think I'll be back. One thing I really want to address is the side entrance. What's with having a door with a big awning that opens right into the restaurant but locking it and having a little sign pointing to a smaller door further away? Every single person I saw come in that side tried the big door first.

Really great food and milkshakes! The burgers were really good, but the beef patties were a little thin. Of course, that is on the menu. So just be aware of that if you like a bigger burger. All come with fries, and those were very good too. Milkshakes were amazing! There’s only a slight difference in the full and half size. Both give you the extra cup of leftover milkshake, but I’d say there’s about an “inch” difference in the extra cup. Regardless, the chocolate is very good! Service was great. This place is mostly ran by younger people/high school students. All of the staff we encountered were nice, kind, and attentive. Super friendly! When in the area again, I will return. :)

Saw this place on Google maps and was pleasantly surprised. One of the best burger melts that I have tried so far! Crispy fries and a very filling burger. Didn't have any room for ice cream so I will have to try it next time. It wasn't busy even though it's a Sunday and I ended up spending around $30 per person. Definitely recommend to try it out if you are thinking about it.
