Bojangles — Restaurant in Chattanooga

Bojangles used to be my favorite fast food joint but they seem to be going downhill fast. This was by far my worst Bojangles experience. To start, the drive thru menu didn't list the sides. I ordered 2 piece dark meal with mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. The biscuit and the mac and cheese were fine. But the chicken was kind of dry. The potatoes had sausage gravy instead of brown gravy, which is sorta weird but not horrible. The flavor of the potatoes and gravy was really awful though and I couldn't eat it. At first bite I thought it had a sweetish flavor. I dared to taste them again and the flavor was reminiscent of cleaning agents. I didn't dare try a third bite. When I first fell for Bojangles it was the sausage gravy which I loved. It seemed like homemade gravy (my favorite food). The color was a brownish white and it was awesome. Lately though, the majority of the time I get the gravy biscuit the gravy is obviously the powdered just add water cream/pepper gravy which is not very appetizing. When I was recently in the Charlotte NC area the gravy was much better and like the old sausage gravy but I've been through N Georgia and S Tennessee recently and the gravy has been cheap and not tasty. Not too long ago I would always refer to Kentucky and the SE USA as Bojangles country because I was eager to eat at their restaurants. More and more lately I tend to look for other options instead...

Cashier (Clifford) was rude, not speaking clearly & had earbuds in. And hair down to his shoulders (gross!! This is a restaurant. Super unsanitary) After me and my family order carry out, we stood there waiting. About 5-7 mins after we paid and ordered, we were told it was a 15-20 min wait on chicken. It was not busy whatsoever so I assumed they had no chicken ready. 30 minutes after waiting and waiting we were told there is no chicken sandwiches (they were out). The chicken sandwich was the first order placed!! The manager (Morgan, I’m not sure of his name as he also was not speaking clearly nor did he have a name tag on) was rude when refunding our money back, violently tapping the screen to refund us, huffing puffing and rolling his eyes the whole time. When asked about corporate information he shrugged his shoulders at me and told me “I don’t know!”. As a manager, DO BETTER. Also, the restrooms were trashed & smelled awful! The dining room had garbage and half empty drinks laying around, and as stated before it was not busy whatsoever!! I’m from the North, we don’t have bojangles near me so I always get it when I travel down south. The company has definitely taken a toll on the last few years because I have never had an experience like this at a bojangles ever before!! DO NOT EAT AT...

I went through the drive thru. I was greeted promptly but as I was giving my order I was asked to slow down. When the person repeated the order back to me, it was completely wrong. I repeated the order again and the person over the speaker repeated it back really fast to me. I said it was correct but thought they still may have forgotten one biscuit. I asked for the receipt when I got to the window and realized they forgot one of my children’s biscuits. I told the woman at the window and I said I’m sorry can you please add it, it’s for my child and gave her my card. The person who was taking the order yelled in the back “Well that’s why I repeat the order back to you” I told him that he repeated it back really fast and I could hardly understand what he was saying so that’s why I asked for a receipt. They gave me my daughter’s biscuit and we drove off. My daughter checked the bag and let me know he did not give us straws and did not give me a large bo round even though I put emphasis on needing a large with one of the combos and he very rudely came back and said “ I already got that.” I would give a one star but the woman at the window truthfully was nice...
