Edited June 10, 2016: Just wanted to follow up on this review. I received a call today from the manager of the restaurant. He said he would gladly refund my money and would look into why I was not credited for the erroneous order. He said that this had to have been an honest mistake, apologized, and offered the refund. Glad to see that good customer service still exists.
Will not be back to this particular Captain D's. Have enjoyed this location for years for a quick and convenient lunch, but recently was double charged for a meal by the assistant manager on duty. This was a new assistant manager that I have not recognized. She pretended to not understand my original order that I clearly gave her when my wife and I arrived. After the food arrived I brought to her attention that the order was incorrect. She then asked for my debit card again, corrected the order and charged my card the correct amount. After a week or so I was reconciling my checking account and realized that I was charged for both transactions, the incorrect and the correct orders, and was never credited for the incorrect order. I can only assume that this is an ongoing scam that this employee is carrying out and I hope that other customers will do like I should have done and demanded a receipt showing the credit for the incorrect order. I have never had a problem out of this Captain D's location and never thought it necessary to double check that I was not being overcharged. The ladies here in the past have always gone out of their way to make every customer's visit a pleasant one. It is not worth $14 to go back to the store and make a scene. I can only hope that this was an honest mistake; however, this seemed like a well executed scam executed to perfection. I can only wonder how many times per day that this assistant manager pulls this off with success. Read moreI went to Captain D’s for my family as I have been at the doctors following a car accident to get surgery scheduled and evaluation and had a very long painful and kind of scary day. I knew I would not feel like cooking and my family loves Captain D’s. We have not been there in a while because it’s kind of out of the way. I stopped in. I had exceptional service. I’m not sure if this employee is a manager or not, but they should be. They’re actually executive quality and I can definitely say that as I am a executive with the federal government, I am on a medical leave and it has been a really rough week for my family, but a gentleman named Joseph gave the most exceptional service of any restaurant I have been to in our town in a long time, he helped me get a drink. I was very tired and having a hard time picking up food the food was fresh. He showed me the food. He packed everything up And he definitely deserves kudos as he makes this restaurant definitely shine. The other employees were amazing as well I did not get to work with them directly while ordering or waiting on the food but if you like Captain D’s, I highly recommend giving this restaurant a visit as you will not be disappointed my family is eating now I’m relaxing. Read moreWent today and got a #9 on board in drive thru which is 4 pieces of fish combo my sides were slaw and loaded baked potato they were out of butter I was ok with that. Get to window (manager) started to be rude to after she gave my drink a large tea.. I tried to tell her my sauces she shut window came back to window about 5 minutes later with food asked my sauces I told her.. I check my food she rang up a #4 a chicken and 2pc fish meal . I go in apologize and tell her I wanted #9 and brought money to pay difference she ask the guy for the 2 fish and proceeds to say I don’t know how a #4 is a #9 I said ok I said 9 she says Nall it’s a #4 you wanted I said on the board it’s a #9 but ok do you want this chicken back walks off being smart and say no.. I should have gotten a refund and left I go check the board and just like I said I was correct. Manager needs to listen n stop eating in drive thru with customers at window and is very rude to keep tryna have I’ ll keep eating at hwy 58 location I barely ever eat at this one anyways by the way my 2 fish she gave were not fresh like my others they were dry with black stuff from grease on them..
