Cracker Barrel use to be my favorite breakfast spot, but last several experience was awful. I'm a creature of habit so I order the same thing most times, Country Boy breakfast steak medium eggs over easy. We where seated after a wait no big deal. Took our server 10 minutes plus to get to us by that time we where ready to order, placed our beverage order and food order at the same time. Took a additional 10 minutes or more to get our beverages. IT TOOK 45 MINUTES FOR US TO GET OUR FOOD, with a toddler. Table next to us that arrived after was already eating and offered my daughter a biscuit because they felt bad, she was very vocal about being hungry as it was our first meal of the day. In the 45 minutes of waiting not one drink refill, not a table visit nothing!!! When our food finally came only half showed thank god it was my wife's and daughter's, mine and my brothers (he ordered the same exacted thing) showed up shortly after, steak was over cooked very well done, at this point I asked to see a manger, when she got there its was a whole bunch of excuses short staffed, etcetera etcetera. She offered to get another steak for the both of us but we had somewhere to be and had already at this point waited an hour for food was afraid of how long that would have taken. We did ask for refills and the biscuits that where never given to us, she obliged. Never seen her again. Didn't see the server again until she was bringing our ticket, no refills or asked if we needed anything just dropped the ticket and smirkingly said have a nice day and walked away. Charged us full price for everything...!!!!!!!
Got to the register and wanted to use a Be My Guest card from the previous visit where they over cooked my food 2 times in a row. The cashier couldn't get the system to work. Stood there for several minutes and was told that they had to redo my check and take my meal off to get it to work. This took about 15 minutes. While waiting I asked for the corporate number, they gave me the number to the Kimble location.
I was really hesitant to write this review, as I am a Manger in the food service industry, knowing that somethings just happen. But as stated before I come back trying to give a chance for positive change to happen. I love the Cracker Barrel Brand been going to these restaurants since I can remember and love keeping that tradition alive with my kids. But at some point changes need to be made. So these circumstances do not continue to happen.
F.Y.I ,, I was going to try and contact corporate directly but after sitting on hold for 30 minutes and having a automated system tell me that I had to leave a number and would be contacted ( which still haven't heard anything) Felt like the community...

Ok it got refunded but u should have given a gift card to prove you are better than what you showed me that eavening most people would be more inclined to give u another shot to make it right a second time but u left that door closed and it should never be.. management could have done better at proving that her staff is better than what they showed that night I was given a $5 coupon thanku but I don't think $5 off will intice me to possibly get burned a second time.i am a former food a hospitality worker that worked as a line cook and chef for 25 years before I opened a successful restaurant and sold it years later for a great profit.dont think all people are oblivious to restaurant procedures and policy's the M.O.D should have done more to prove her staff and herself take pride in what they do and could execute properly.i understand in this business mistakes happen but you should never forget about a customer especially if they already paid and tipped 🤐🤨. sincerely.. if your not better than that you got to be better than that dont act brand New💪 sincerely King burger 77.ps I didn't leave cracker barrel until 8:37 😳 location brooksville florida...

Let me be crystal clear from the jump: Our waitress, Alexa, was an absolute gem—a kind, attentive, and professional Southern Belle. Daniel, the manager on duty, was also a class act who did everything in his power to handle a bad situation. They both deserve five stars and a better place to work. And that's where anything positive ends. This was, without exaggeration, one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. We'll start with the environment: The restaurant was freezing cold to the point of being genuinely uncomfortable. Then came the food, which was a catastrophic failure across the board. The "Country Fried Steak" was not steak. It was a thin, breaded hamburger patty. The seasoned rice was old, hard, and crunchy. My mom's fried fish was fried into oblivion, and the replacement mac & cheese was a soupy, milky mess. The kitchen is completely broken. After Manager Daniel professionally comped my disastrous meal, we went to pay the remaining $63 bill. The final insult? They fumbled the transaction. When my aunt tried to split the payment across two cards, the staff somehow managed to overcharge her by $18. A restaurant has two primary functions: serve edible food and correctly process payment. This establishment failed spectacularly on both counts. The only thing preventing this from being a complete meltdown was the heroic effort of its floor staff. This one-star review is for the Cracker Barrel establishment in Chattanooga as a whole—for a kitchen that sends out inedible food and a front counter that can't handle a simple transaction. Corporate needs to take a hard look at what's happening here, because your good employees like Alexa and Daniel are being put in an...
